Arrival Story:
The breeder debated whether to keep her but decided to adopt her out. She just got married, and it's hard when you're first starting out, you remember, I'm sure.

Bio:
She had the cutest baby face I had ever seen. I loved those times when we were out on car rides, especially longer trips, and she'd be at my side, watching the road go by. When I looked over at her, she be batting her long, sexy eyelashes, and lean her nose forward for a sniff or a kiss. Sometimes she'd be faster then I am and she would get me, with a lick on the face or lips. It's a little game we played. It's just the way she looked at me though. It just aches my heart that she's gone. I'm sure this feeling is comparable to losing a child. She was just so damn CUTE! I love her. She had a heart murmur but that never stopped her. She was really good at escaping the yard. Pictures do not do her personality and cuddle factor justice. She was just the greatest dog. I really miss her. *Sniff*

Forums Motto:
Love me, then love me again. Don't stop.

Passing:
Smiley was run over by a car on August 25, 2007. Her death was horrible. Do not read this if you think you cannot handle it. She held on okay at first and I thought she was going to be fine. At the local vet, we gave her some morphine and oxygen and watched her. Then she started going south. I gave her mouth to mouth on the ride to the Vet ER. They did doggie ACLS (CPR and drugs) but she was already gone. I still remember the sound of them shocking her in the next room. They brought her lifeless body to me wrapped in a blanket and I got to say goodbye. When I left the vet ER, my sorrow was only just beginning. The passenger side of my car was covered in her blood. It had leaked all inside my purse, onto my bills, my mail. My heart goes out to anyone who has gone through something like this. It was absolutely horrible. The important thing to remember is not the sorrow, or the trauma, but the love we shared, the love we gave, and the love, the gift we were given. God Bless You if you are mourning a pet or lost loved one.
