Arrival Story: I work as a Vet Tech in a Vet Hospital and Turtle's mom came in to have a c-section done. When we were removing the puppies we came to Turtle. As the Dr. was pulling her out she kept stretching her neck straight out and pulling it back in. She looked just like a Turtle. It was my job to clean out her airway and warm her up. I instantly fell in love with her. She was so ugly it was cute! She went home with her mom and 3 brothers. I saw her again when she came in for her 8wk puppy visit. She was so much smaller than her brothers and she was SO cute. They informed me that they did not have a home for her yet. I immediately called my husband and told him all about her again. He said we could go see her but he wouldn't guarantee anything. I have never purchased an animal before. All my pets are rescue animals. But, this little girl had my heart. I couldn't stop thinking about her. When we went to see her she came right to me. I called her Turtle and she looked right at me. It was as if she knew her name already. My husband watch me with her for over an hour. When we went to leave my husband asked the owners when we could take her home. I was so happy!! Now, she is an 11 pound tornado that is spoiled rotten.
Bio: Her best friend is our basset hound Tristan who we adopted from Suncoast Basset Rescue.
One of the pictures of Turtle you will see that the right side of her face is swollen!! The poor thing got stung by a bee. The picture was taken AFTER we gave her benadryl. Poor thing looked so silly!!
