Arrival Story:
Spot was bred to be a gun dog but her owner failed to train her properly and she was terrified of gun shot. Once Spot became gun-shy she was of no use to him so he resorted so some physical abuse. He then gave her to a cocker spaniel breeder who loved her, but Spot didn't get along with her other dogs who bullied her because she was timid. The breeder decided to find a good home for Spot where she could be the 'top dog'. We heard about her from a friend, and went to visit her. Spot was exactly the kind of dog we wanted and the owner realised that she would be well loved and cared for by our family, so 2 days later Spot came home with us. She was 3 then and in the 3 and a half years that we have owned Spot she has changed from being an anxious, nervous dog to a confident loving pet.
