Hello my sweet and wonderful boy, how are you today?

Its quite a nice day today, sunny, not a cloud in the sky and a soft gentle breeze, it would make a nice run and play day for you my boy chasing Spud. Spud has stopped limping, I suppose he twisted his leg playing silly games. Last night was quite warm, but very very windy. Molly went to say hello to Bella, who nearly bit her head off, so I called Molly over to stay with me. She jumped on the bed alongside me where she stayed all night.

I just let the dogs out, made a cuppa tea and Molly wanted to come back indoors, she's laying beside me right now. I saw her standing on the little hill where you use to stand and survey all before you, compared to you Merlin she is so tiny, BUT she has got the courage of a GSD. Spud keeps knocking her down, she keeps getting up and play attacks Spud, she don't back down. She's a gutsy little girl, I'll say that for her. To be honest, Spud is a bit of a bully, he needs to be knocked down a few times. He ran from you, because he knew you would knock him down, its a pity you couldn't catch him.

My sweet and wonderful big boy Merlin

Good morning my boy, how are you today? I hope you have been having lots and lots of fun running and playing with your buddies.

Its quite a nice day today, not too hot, there's no cloud in the sky but there is a fresh breeze. So it should be quite a nice run and play day for you. Spud was limping badly yesterday, we thought he might have picked up a thorn between his toes or his pads but found nothing. Knowing him he twisted it being silly, but he doesn't seem to be limping this morning.

Last night was quite cold, your mum got the duvets out and it was so snuggly, Molly jumped up and laid along side me with her back to me. She is as warm as toast, but she did keep shifting herself to get comfortable and kept me awake. This morning I got up and sat on the edge of the bed to drink my tea when Molly decided she wanted a cuddle. Remember how you use to nudge my arm when you wanted a cuddle? You'd keep nudging me until I gave in, even though I might be working, and gave you a cuddle. You always were a cuddly boy, and I loved cuddling you.

Good morning my boy, its so good to be here with you, even if its only for a little while. But know this Merlin, I don't think of you just once a day, you are in my thoughts a lot every day. I look over towards that little hill near the fence and picture you sitting there looking so proud and majestic and noble, people passing took notice of you. You looked magnificent.

I think its going to be a hot day again today, but last night was actually quite cold. I don't think it will be long before the dovets come out again. Molly must have got cold last night, she jumped up on my bed and laid by my feet, but didn't leave me much room. Still we both managed to get some sleep. This morning she woke me up by sticking her nose in my ear, that really makes me jump.

Oh boy was I mad yesterday morning. I was sitting in my chair when I could smell something awful, I got up to find that one of Melissa's cats had poo'd in my chair and I sat in it. Believe me I was hoping mad, I was furious. Not only that, during the night one of them knocked a picture frame off a shelf making one hell of a noise and waking me up. I've got a good mind to leave one of the dogs in the living room during the night, the cats wont go in there if a dog is there.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy Merlin.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy, I hope you are having lots of fun, knowing you, you are probably running and playing from dawn to dusk, stopping only for breakfast, lunch and dinner, then probably supper.

Its not quite sunrise here yet, I woke up very early this morning. I thought Molly was desperate to go to the toilet, so I let her out on her own because if I let Spud and Molly out at the same time they won't stop barking at each other. Anyway I let her out and what did she do? She started barking her head off! I chased her indoors and let her know I was very annoyed with her. Molly is getting very verbal, she barks at the house across the road. I tell her to stop, she runs indoors and then seconds later she's outside barking again. I'll say one thing Merlin, when I told you not to do something you did as you were told, you always were a good boy Merlin. Molly is looking at me all sad because I told her off. Oh boy, she's a handful.

I think its going to be overcast today and nice and cool. I hope so anyway.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy, I hope you are having fun with your buddies.

Its going to be another hot day, no cloud, no wind and very sunny. Last night was very hot, although the heat only woke me up once. When I tried to get into bed Molly jumped up and claimed my bed, I had the devils own job to get her off. Does that remind you of anyone Merlin???? YOU!!! The times I had to order you off of my bed, you would give me a dirty look and slink off grumbling. Oh boy Merlin, you really were so very special, and you certainly loved your comfort.

We had a BBQ yesterday, it was really nice. I sat outside with the garden umbrella up enjoying the conversation when a gust of wind literally took it over the roof of the house. I ran to retrieve it while your mum thought it was highly hilarious, she kept calling me Mary Poppins!

Its very quiet today, I'm all alone in the house with Molly, Spud, Bella and Hobo. Its so nice and quiet.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy Merlin.

Hello my sweet and wonderful big boy, how are you today?

Its a hot day today, no cloud in the sky and no wind whatsoever, so its going to get very hot. It might turn out to be a good run and play day for you after all. Today is also a public holiday so we're having a BBQ later on. If you were here your nose would be sniffing the air and you would be dribbling. Spud, Molly, Bella and Hobo usually hang around hoping something will fall on the floor. Molly is a greedy guts, she will eat until she throws up. After being fed she goes around all the others dogs bowls hoping to find something, it can get a problem if the others dogs are still eating. She's fast asleep in her usual place beside me right now, she can be a pain in the neck at times, but she really is a sweet heart.

Mia isn't too well at the moment, the poor little mite has a ear infection, plus she has teeth coming through. When she see's me in the morning she always waves at me, I wonder if she's going to be Granddad's girl? She has also got a naughty look, you can see in her eyes she's full of mischief. I LOVE IT.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy.

Hello Merlin my such sweet and wonderful big boy, how are you today? I hope you are having so much fun with your buddies running, playing, jumping and chasing.

I'm not quite sure about today, there isn't a cloud in the sky, there is no wind. It might turn out to be a good day to run and play for you. Last night was quite cold, so cold the doggies didn't want to go outside before bedtime, I had to order them outside. They ran outside, did their business and ran indoors. Hobo can be a pain in the neck at times, he goes outside and wont come in when I call him, last night he couldn't get inside quick enough. I managed to sleep most of the night thankfully, I woke up once and then slept straight through.

Tomorrow is a public holiday, so its going to be noisy indoors tomorrow. I do love it when the house is empty with me and the doggies, but it does get old when Molly keeps barking and I have to stop what I am doing to tell her off. I'll say one thing for her though, she does come when I call her, just like you did my boy.

TedEbear has not only given you a beautiful emerald, but updated your profile picture with the dates of all your honours which I think is truly astonishing and wonderful. You really have touched so many wonderful people's hearts my boy and that's one reason why I am so proud of you. I just checked and your diary is still on the "Today's Picks list." Oh boy Merlin I am so proud of you.

Last night was quite cold, it felt good to snuggle under the covers instead of laying on top of the bed soaked in sweat. Today is quite a nice day, some cloud, no wind, nice and sunny and not too hot. Its a really pleasant run and play day for you, you could chase Spud all over the property until you fell over tired out and plonked down to sleep. I've got the fan on my desk going as its still a bit humid.

Molly is in her usual place beside my chair fast asleep and snoring, she is really sound asleep or as we use to say in the RAF "Sound...O." I daren't move my chair in case I wake her up. She looks so sweet and peaceful laying there, instead of the mischief machine she really is. lol.

MERLIN I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!! Your diary has make the "Today's picks list," my chest is swollen with so much pride my boy, not only did you make me laugh and bring me so much joy when you were here with me, you also make me so proud of my so special, sweet and wonderful big boy now that you are not. I know for a fact that I will never find another sweet boy like you again, you are that one in a lifetime best ever friend. You were without a doubt the best friend I ever had Merlin, and I include human people in that. You were always by my side, or if you were helping your mum I'd only have to call you and you came running and always with a smile on your face.

Today is a lot cooler but very overcast and very humid and no wind. Last night was very cool, in fact the nights are getting colder so I didn't get woken up too often.

A bug has hit your mum, Mike my son and me, its really a nasty one. I wouldn't mind but we've only just got over one bug and another one hits us. I wouldn't mind betting its Melissa that's bringing these nasty things home.

Hello my sweet and wonderful big boy, I hope you are having lots and lots of fun and games with your buddies running, chasing and jumping.

I remember so clearly how much you loved running Merlin. If I teased you by not throwing anything you would bark at me until I did, if I turned my back on you, you would run around to face me and then bark. I'd then throw something for you and you would run hell for leather then disappear in a cloud of dust, then come running back doing a little dance and so proud of yourself. Without a doubt Merlin you really gave me so much joy and laughter, you gave me so much happiness along with your love, loyalty and devotion. How I wish you were beside me right now.

Its going to be another hot day Merlin, it should be cooling off now, but its still baking hot. Last night wasn't too bad, the heat didn't keep me awake. I don't think it will be a very good run and play day for you at all. Molly just walked into my study and is laying under my desk. She is a sweet little girl Merlin, I know you would have loved her, however, she does need keeping in check. At times she pushes her luck to see how far she can go, that's when I have to let her know who's the boss. But for all that she is sweet.
