Hello my boy, I was just looking at your picture. What a handsome boy, you were perfect in everyway, your colouring, your size, your bark, your love, your devotion, your loyalty. How I wish you were here beside me right now, I do miss you so much my boy.

Molly is being a good little girl, I just wish she got a bit bigger, and put Spud in his place, although she does stick up for herself. She does make me laugh, if I tell her off she jumps up on your mums old chair, hangs her head and looks up at me as if t say "Sorry Daddy." I can't stay mad at her for long, just like I couldn't stay mad at you for very long. But remember that time we were all going to bed and for some reason you got really nasty with Spud and tried to bully him? I was so annoyed with you and sent you out of the bedroom, you really looked mad, you looked back at me and walked out of the bedroom. If looks could kill, I'd be stone dead! I always knew what you were thinking my boy just by the expression on your face. How I miss those days Merlin.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy.

Good morning Merlin my boy, my best friend I ever had or will ever have.

Its a nice day today, nice and sunny, no cloud, no wind and not too hot. Its more like spring then autumn. Molly and Spud go bonkers outside, but I really have to watch Spud because he gets over excited and hurts Molly. As Bella had lost her muzzle I took her out on the property with a lead, she didn't like it at all, she wanted to go where she wanted to go, where I wasn't prepared to let her go like long grass. There's still a danger of snakes as the weather is still warm. Suddenly I looked and saw Bella's muzzle on the drive, I couldn't believe it. I picked it up and found it had been undone, how on earth she managed that I'll never know. Anyway as I was putting it on her she tried to bolt, just as well I had her on a lead. How the muzzle got on the drive I don't really know, but I suspect Molly found it. She's always dragging things from around the property to the drive. She is really growing into a lovely little girl Merlin, she is becoming more and more loving everyday. I hope you are looking down and looking out for her Merlin, she is a credit to you and all GSD's. Its funny how she was the last puppy in the litter, I am sure you were saving her for us, as you knew she is a special little girl.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy. I'm sorry about yesterday, but I had to help sort out the brakes on your mums car. Unfortunately it couldn't be repaired, but I found the fault. Now your mum needs to make up her mind, either let me and Mike repair it or send it into a garage. Mike and I can do the job, but its going to take a bit longer then a garage doing the work, but she will save on labour charges. Its up to her.

Bella is being a pain again, she has somehow got her muzzle off and now we can't find it. Its on the property somewhere, but its finding it thats the problem. Until we find it or gets a new muzzle, she can't be let out on her own she has to go out on a lead. I know its not nice having a muzzle on all the time, but she's the one who caused all the trouble in the first place and she's lucky that next door hasn't got a court order to have her put to sleep.

Molly is getting her sense of humour just like you had, she is really becoming a good girl Merlin, and I know you would have loved her my boy. She sits by my armchair, rests her head on the seat cushion and looks at me with so much love in her eyes. Now I know she is a gift from you Merlin, but you were a gift from God.

Good morning my boy, I really enjoy talking to you everyday.

Today is a little cloudy and fairly warm, there's no wind at all and I've got the fan on my desk working.

I often think about the times when you were a puppy, oh Merlin you were such a beautiful little boy, so pretty. Your mum use to say, "He's too pretty to be a boy." Your happy little tail wagging 12 to the dozen, the look on your face as you walked around the property with me that was saying, "Wait for me Daddy, wait for me," your little legs going for all they were worth, I'd stop and say, "Come here my boy, come on." You would run up with such a wonderful happy look on your face, I wish I could go back in time and have those days all over again. Right from when we met, I knew you were the boy for me, the bond between us was instant. You were meant to be Melissa's my daughters boy, but it was destined that we were to be bonded, a bond so strong its still there, even though you are no longer by my side. I do miss you Merlin, so much my boy.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy Merlin, I hope you are still having lots and lots of fun running and jumping and chasing and playing and generally having a high old time.

Today is very much like yesterday, nice and bright and sunny, it actually feels more like a spring day, in fact butterflies are out again. I even have my desk fan on its so warm, but thankfully not hot.

There was a police helicopter buzzing around low over and around the house, I suppose they were looking for criminals from the local township. What annoys me whenever they have a problem in the township they come to the estate for help, then they break into houses on the estate. I won't give them a cent.

Last night Merlin, Mia my granddaughter took her first steps. She is still a bit unsteady, but she's getting there. It was so wonderful to watch, I was too excited to get my camera and take photographs.

I guess its time for you to go and have some more fun with your buddies my sweet and wonderful big boy.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy I hope you have been playing with Lady Zara, Lady Girl, Judy, Sara, Monty and the rest. Not forgetting little Lucy who crossed the bridge at 6 weeks and her little sister. Look out for them Merlin, they are your daughters after all.

Your son Spud is really getting too spiteful, one of these days he will really hurt Molly. I hope your mum comes home with a muzzle for him soon before he does any damage. He gets far too excited, I don't think he realises how big he is compared to Molly.

Bella was in a strange mood last night, she looked like she was actually smiling! She laid down near Molly, no growling or snapping or turning nasty, I wonder if she is finally starting to mellow in her old age.

Its a lovely day today, very sunny, no cloud and no wind. It is a bit hot in the sun, but the shade is really nice and comfortable. If the weather stayed like this all the year around I would be very happy indeed.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy, how are you today? I hope you really are having fun with your buddies.

Its a nice day again today, nice and sunny, very little cloud, no wind and not too hot, I know you would be running around having lots of fun, well maybe not so much fun but chasing Spud to put him in his place.

Molly really loves fun and games, but sometimes those games end up with Spud hurting her and she loses her temper with him. Oh boy, but she really is a sweet little girl Merlin.

Yesterday the Animal Welfare arrived at the gate wanting to know why Bella and Hobo are muzzled all the time, so I told the man the story about the fighting with the dogs next door and that its better that they are muzzled then being put to sleep. He asked what precautions they were taking next door and when I told him that they weren't muzzling their dogs, and that we are putting up screens at our expense so that the dogs can't see each other, he said that its unfair all the blame is being put on Bella and Hobo and they are the ones who are muzzled. I agree with him, but its better that then as I said, being put to sleep.

What does annoy me with Bella, she is really nasty with Molly, Molly only has to walk past her and Bella snaps at her. Bella doesn't do it with Spud, even when he's being his usual annoying self. I've scolded Bella many times, but Bella does pull back from actually biting Molly.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy and Happy Saint George's Day. Enjoy the day with all your buddies and have lots of fun and games running and jumping and chasing and generally having a really great time.

Its quite a nice day today, nice and bright and sunny, no cloud whatsoever, no wind yet its nice and cool. I know you would be running around, you had so much energy Merlin, you tired me out just watching you. Bella and Hobo are chilling out enjoying the sunshine, Molly and Spud are going bonkers play attacking each other. I don't mind them play fighting but Spud does get very spiteful and he does go overboard and gets too excited, he hurts Molly and then she goes for him. I'll be glad when your mum brings home the muzzle for Spud that she has on order. Not that he's vicious to people or other dogs, I just want him to stop biting Molly before he hurts her seriously.

Your mum got her car back yesterday. She did panic, she thought she had ruined her car, instead of being only a minor problem. Although she will have to have some work done on it soon, one of the cylinder heads has got a slight leak.

Hello my special big boy, its so good to talk to you and to let you know that you are always in my thoughts.

Its quite a nice day today, nice and sunny and not too hot, there is some cloud but not very much, it looks almost like lace. I think it would be a good run and play day for you.

Every morning Molly is fast asleep at the bottom of my bed, usually with her head hanging over the end. I really don't know how she is comfortable like that, but she must be.

Your mum phoned me in a bit of a panic saying her Land Rover has seriously broken down. After she told me what had happened its not serious at all, it's only a fan belt broken, about 15 minutes work. She phoned our local mechanic who came out to her and is towing her car to his garage and should be able to sort it out once he gets a new fan belt.

My back has been hurting bad for the past few days, but thankfully the pain has started to ebb a bit now, I can at least stand up without being in agony. I hate old age Merlin lol.

Time for you to go play with your buddies and I hope Judy, Lady Zara, Lady girl, Sara and Scooby do are among them, not to forget Monty and your little daughters who succummed to Parvo.
