Good morning my amazing boy Merlin.

Its not too bad a day today Merlin, but it could also change in an instant as you know.

Molly was so naughty yesterday, she would not do as she was told and lead me on a merry chase all around the property, she would not obey me to "Come here," She didn't get her usual "good girl" treat when I finally got hold of her and she looked very put out. She didn't even jump up on my bed last night, I think she knew she was in the dog house. I never had any problems with you at all Merlin when you were a puppy, I could take your lead off and you would follow me everywhere, if you did run off to chase a butterfly I only had to call you and you came running. You were a extremely good puppy, very obedient and you always did as you were told.

Poor old Bella is really feeling her age now, she just wants to lay in the sun and chill, when Spud lets her! I'll say one thing for Molly, she does chase Spud away from Bella.

Time for you to go play my lovely boy and have some fun with your buddies.

My amazing boy Merlin

Good morning Merlin, I am so happy to be able to talk to you my boy, as it does dull the pain of losing you a little.

Its not too bad a day today, overcast no wind but quite warm, quite a nice day to run and play my boy and because of the high winds we have had, there are lots of sticks on the ground for me to throw and you to chase.

It always amused me that when you got to the stick after I had thrown it and you had gone running off at full pelt, there was a huge cloud of dust, then there was you coming out of the dust cloud looking for all the world like you were grinning and so proud of yourself. Sometimes you would tease me by dropping the stick at my feet, then as I bent down to pick it up you would grab it and do a little dance around me with it in your mouth. So to get my own back Id turn my back on you, you'd drop the stick and bark at me to pick it up, when I refused you really got annoyed. Then I'd pick it up and throw it for you. We had so much fun Merlin, I wish we had those days back again my boy, I miss them so much.

Good morning my sweet boy.

I think of you every single day Merlin. Sometimes I sit and cry that you are no longer beside me, other times I sit and smile when I remember the good times we had together. When you left me Merlin I wept for days, my heart felt like it had been ripped out, but one thing consoled me my boy, you were no longer in pain. I do miss you so much and the past 6 months since you left at times feels like yesterday, other days feels like forever, many times I cannot really take it in that you have gone. I look forward to the day when we will met again Merlin, what a wonderful day that will be, with my beloved Merlin forever.

Molly's colours are changing, her tan is starting to replace more and more of her black, but it does look like she might end up with a tan "Bitch Stripe" down her back. She is getting bigger and stronger and heavier. When she lays on my legs she cuts the blood supply off just like you did.

Good morning my amazing boy. Its not a bad day here today, its sunny, no clouds and a little wind, not gale force as it can be at times. I think you would enjoy yourself running and playing.

I was thinking this morning about the times when Lady Zara (the mother of your puppies) from next door came onto the property to play with you. I'd throw a stick for you, she would run with you but never attempted to pick the stick up. She really was such a sweet little girl and without a doubt you were boyfriend and girlfriend. Whenever she came into the house you never minded when she jumped up onto my lap, you looked as if to say, "Its OK I don't mind sharing my Daddy with you." Then she disappeared for a while, and one day I saw Bella looking towards the woodpile and sniffing, I investigated and found she had made a little den and gave birth to her babies. When she saw me she came running over with her tail wagging as if to say, "Come look at my babies I am so proud of them." She allowed you to come look at her babies, but she did not allow Bella or Hobo anywhere near them. I was scared that snakes would bite them so I relocated them. She didn't mind at all when I picked them up and carried them to somewhere safer. Wonderful memories Merlin.

Good morning my amazing boy, it's so good to talk to you everyday.

Its a bit cold this morning again, but the sun is out and there isn't a cloud in the sky neither is there any wind.................so far.

I watched a video on youtube about a little boy who was being chased by a litter of puppies, the boy fell over and was immediately jumped on by the puppies, then I remembered you being chased by Lady Zara's litter. It really was so funny to watch Merlin, I was amazed how they kept up with you. I hoped that you would tire them out so they would go to sleep, but no such luck, as soon as you stopped they were all over you. You gave me one of your pleading looks as if to say, "Get these little monsters off of me please Daddy." You really were so patient with them, it was if you knew they were your babies. I use to love watching you interact with them, them looking up at you and you looking down at them, I could imagine the puppies asking, "Are you my Daddy?" and you answering "Yes my boy." You always did have a wonderful kind heart Merlin, it was bigger then the universe.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy.

Hello Merlin my amazing and handsome boy.

Its is so cold this morning, the sort of morning that you would poke your nose outside, sniff and them come back inside. Nutty Spud however, wants to go outside, that boy really needs his head read.

I just had a couple slices of your mums home made bread with slightly salted butter, yum so nice. I know you loved her bread too, you would stare at me while I was eating, watching every mouthful I took, until I gave in and gave you some. If I turned away you would get up and sit in front of me again looking at me until I gave in. You really could twist me around your paws.

I hope you had a good Fathers Day yesterday Merlin, Spud is still being his normal annoying self! I don't think he is ever going to grow up, he still thinks, acts and plays like a puppy. Bella's eye has gone down now, but she is still very grumpy with Molly, she gets so fed up with annoying pups who tries to lick her and wont behave. Remember how grumpy Bella use to get with you? How you never got bitten by her, I'll never know.

Good afternoon Merlin, hows my special boy today?

As you know its Fathers Day today, so Mike took me for lunch, it was quite nice I must admit. Its Father day for you too Merlin. Happy Fathers Day my wonderful boy. Melissa brought Mia into me this morning and I had a lovely cuddle with her, she was looking at me and laughing. She is such a pretty little girl Merlin, I know you would have loved her and protected her. I hope Molly takes after you my lovely boy.

Its a bit cold today, it began to spit with rain awhile ago and its very overcast. Not a play kinda day my boy, more of a cuddle up to keep warm kinda day.

Molly is laying in your favourite spot under my desk. She takes after you in so many ways my boy, if she is half as wonderful as you, I will be very happy with her. No dog will ever be as good as you my boy, you are so special Merlin, a boy like you only comes along once in a life time. I just wish we had more time together, but the time I did have with you Merlin I will cherish forever.

Good morning my wonderful and amazing big boy.

Hello Merlin my boy.

Its quite a nice day today, not too cold and very little wind, more of a gentle breeze, your ideal play day.

I was looking at your photographs and began to remember where you had that huge branch in your mouth and tried to come indoors with it. You looked so annoyed when it wouldn't go through the door. Your mum and I looked at each other and shaking our heads. You always had the ability to make me laugh Merlin.

Poor old Bella isn't too well at the moment. She looked unwell yesterday, Spud kept annoying her and she really went for him. She laid in the shade of the tree's all day long until she came in for her dinner. This morning your mum noticed her eye was closed, I went and had a look at her and it looks like she has a cut just below her eye which has turned infected. It looks like a bite mark from Spud when he tries to play with her. The wound was cleaned and antibacterial applied to it. We'll see how she is later today.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy.

Hello my boy.

This morning was so cold before the sun came over the mountains, it was freezing. But now we have got the sun it's not too bad, a good day to run and play.

Talking of running and playing, yesterday afternoon Spud was annoying Bella, he just can't get it into his head she is not interested in playing. Anyway Molly jumped in, grabbed him by the throat, brought him down and making him yelp. He's been doing that to Molly quite a bit and hurting her, now he knows what it feels like. He got up and came running over to me for attention with a very sorrowful look on his face. All I could say to him, was "Serve you right." He can be such a baby at times that boy. Not like you Merlin, you always were a brave boy, even when you was a puppy, you was always looking out for your family keeping us safe. On top of that Merlin, you are the best friend I have ever had, and I include humans in that as well as dogs. You was never far from my side, your loyalty, love and devotion was unconditional.

My wonderful big boy Merlin

Good morning Merlin, I hope you are having fun.

Remember how you use to lay across my legs at night cutting off the blood supply? Molly did the same last night. For a 6 month old (today) puppy she is extremely heavy, after I wriggled about a bit she got off.

We had a call from the vet, Molly has got to be booked in for her to be spayed, when she comes home she will be so sore. I suppose your mum will spoil her like she spoiled you when you weren't very well.

Spud is still pushing his luck with Bella, she doesn't want to play, Molly however chases him off. Like you she has a lot of courage and determination.

Last night I went to bed early as it was so cold, but today looks like its going to be warm, comparable to a nice spring day in England. I think you would have liked England Merlin, not so hot but a lot of rain and very cold during winter. You never know, you might have liked playing in the snow. Wherever we were Merlin, we would have had a lot of fun together, me and my best friend Merlin.
