Good morning Merlin my sweet and wonderful big boy, hows Daddy's boy today? You always were my boy Merlin. When you were a pup Mike my son said to me, “Merlin really is your boy, he follows you everywhere.” I looked down at you my boy and you were looking up at me with those beautiful eyes of yours and I replied, “Yes he is, and I'm his Daddy.”

Its a really nasty day today, very thick ground mist, visibility is down to about 50 yards. I daren't let the dogs out yet they might get lost! Talking about getting lost, last night we couldn't find Hobo, Mike my son and I walked around the property calling his name, there was no sign of him. We thought he had got out and went walkabout, so Mike and I went indoors. All of a sudden Mike said “Hold on,” and opened the door to the garage and out popped Hobo. Hobo had obviously gone into the garage when Mike drove his car into the garage and wasn't spotted by Mike. Hobo was so pleased that he was getting his dinner, he was like a little kangaroo bouncing up and down. Hobo is really a strange little boy.

The sun I forcing its way through the mist in places, so hopefully the mist will evaporate away. Visibility is now over 100 yards.

Its seems I've got over my stomach bug, but its hit your mum pretty hard. Last night she didn't look very well at all. Hopefully the bug will clear up soon.

I guess its time you went to go play with your buddies and have some fun.

Good morning Merlin my sweet and wonderful big boy, hows my boy today? I hope you are having lot and lots of fun Merlin, because you deserve it.

I hope you are taking care of Lady Zara and your beautiful daughters, one we named Lucy, but didn't get the chance to name the other one. Lucy was the only pup with a streak of brown hair from you, she was such a pretty little girl Merlin. When Molly came home I was terrified that she would get Parvo, but thankfully she didn't, she's really growing up into a beautiful little girl. Molly is still very very boisterous, but she is starting to grow up albeit slowly, I'm really waiting for when she calms down. Remember how you use to lean against me? Molly doesn't lean on me but she has to touch someone by leaning her head or her body on their foot, even though she isn't that big, she is quite heavy.

Its another nice day today, nice and sunny, no wind and very cool. The nights are nice and cold which means I can snuggle under the duvet. HMMMMMMMMMMM so nice. It really would be a good run and play day for you my boy, you could run and run to your hearts content. I loved watching you run Merlin, you always looked so proud, regal and majestic. My beautiful big boy, perfection in motion.

When I went to bed last night I found that Bella had stolen Molly's bed, Molly went to lay on it and Bella growled at her. I was very annoyed, but didn't scold her. I told Molly to jump up beside me, but she didn't.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy, did you sleep well and have a nice breakfast? I hope so my boy.

Today is quite cloudy, and chilly, thankfully there is no wind so I guess it would make a nice run and play day for you my boy. Its quite chilly in the morning's now, but when the sun come out its really nice and warm. Of course Molly and Spud are forever play fighting and as always Spud gets carried away and hurts Molly, Molly loses her temper and REALLY attacks Spud and so it starts all over again. Catch 22.

Mia was unwell yesterday as was Melissa, Mike went to the doctor and got today off as well, the doc said there is a stomach bug going around. I thought I had got away with it, but last night it hit me too, so I don't feel 100% right now. No problem it will soon go away.

Your mum finally got her Land Rover back yesterday, it cost quite a bit to get fixed. I told her she should have let me and Mike repair it, but your mum said the mechanic told her he couldn't get the parts or the parts are no longer made, he had to phone around the country and found the last part ever in South Africa. I told her that a five minute look on a UK web site and I could have got all the parts we wanted. He gave her a right cock and bull story and she swallowed it.

The sun has come out, but the cloud is starting to turn black so we might be in for a bit of a storm.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy.

Good morning Merlin my sweet and wonderful big boy, how are you this rather bleak morning? Its not very nice today at all, there's very low cloud, almost touching the tree's and its very cool with no wind. Maybe when the sun comes up it will get rid of the cloud.

As I told you it was Mia's first birthday yesterday. Your Mum and Melissa took yesterday off work and took her to Monkey Town. When they all came home Melissa was looking very white and Mia was only in her nappy, apparently Mia threw up over her lovely new dress and Melissa was feeling sick too. Apparently a bug has hit everyone, the only one's not feeling ill is me. Your mum isn't feeling too good, Melissa is also throwing up as is Mike. Melissa has had to go to work because she is on probation at her job, she had yesterday off for Mia's birthday and if she phones in sick today they might think some thing's funny, So she has gone to work hoping they will send her home. I don't know where all these bugs are coming from, its seems like its one thing after another, maybe its Mia's play school, perhaps she's picking things up from there. When Mike started school he was forever bringing sickness home and knocking me for six.

I REALLY told Melissa off the other day, I saw Mia running with two ball point pins in her hand, one had the top off. I took the pens off of Mia and asked Melissa who had given Mia the pens. Melissa told me, “Its OK I was watching her.” I hit the roof Merlin, it only takes a split second for Mia to fall over and one of the pens takes an eye out. I really don't know why some people just cannot see the danger.

Your diary is up on "Todays picks. Well done I am so proud of you.

Its Mia's first birthday today, but the poor little mite has got a runny tummy and has been sick a couple of times, yet she still managed to give me a big smile this morning. As its Mia's birthday both your mum and Melissa have taken the day off work to be with Mia.

Last night it was so sweet, Mia was trying to get past Molly who was laying across her path, Mia couldn't step over her, Mia managed to put one leg over Molly and then sat down on her. Molly never murmured, Molly simply looked around at her and lay her head on the floor again. I'm so proud of Molly, very proud. Bella on the other hand is a different story altogether, Bella tends to growl at Mia. I can't blame Bella really, she is getting old and doesn't want to be pulled about. Hobo however, when he sees Mia coming he runs off and hides. Molly does tend to try and herd Mia, her GSD tendencies coming out in her, Molly tries to herd me, if I don't go where she wants me to go she grabs the bottom of my trousers. At times she walks in front of me and keeps stopping and looking back to see where I am, if I duck behind a door she comes back to see where I've gone. She really is an amusing little Merlin, you would be proud of her. She is a credit to you and all GSD's.

Good morning Merlin my sweet and wonderful big boy, I hope you have been having lots of fun and games with your buddies, who I hope includes Lady Girl, Lady Zara, Sara, Scooby Do, Monty, Judy, Paddy, Lonely and your dear little daughters that succumbed to Parvo.

Congratulations again Merlin, your diary has been chosen as an "Active poster." Well done my boy, I am so proud of you.

I was very lucky posting in your diary yesterday, not long after I posted the power went off at around 9am and didn't come on again until the middle of the night. Mike and I were so bored we began doing fraction sums and other silliness. Then your mum began dinner and just as she almost finished the gas ran out, but it was OK. We did however eat dinner under very dim candle light. Luckily I still have my old camping cookers and gas bottles so I was able to make a cup of tea and then went to bed very early.

Tomorrow is Mia's first birthday, she obviously doesn't understand yet, but I hope she enjoys herself. Your mum is making her a birthday cake and the toys she has got is unbelievable, she is one spoiled little girl. Last night again she began to misbehave at the dinner table so I looked very sternly at her over my glasses and growled “MIA BEHAVE YOURSELF AT THE TABLE!” I thought she was going to burst into tears, she didn't but she looked around the table hoping for support and getting none. It was so funny, everyone was trying so hard not to laugh. Oh boy that girl is one heck of a character.

Good morning Merlin, my sweet and wonderful big boy. Congratulations my boy, you diary has been posted again as one of "Todays Picks". I am so proud of you my special boy.

Its a beautiful day today, nice and sunny and bright but nice and cool, as a bonus there's no wind at all. I hate the high winds we get here at times Merlin, it takes my breath away. Today would be a really great run and play and chase and jump day for you my boy.

When Mia my Granddaughter came home from play school yesterday, I took her hand and walked her indoors, she had hold of my finger and wouldn't let go. It was so sweet Merlin, that child makes my chest swell with pride. Last night I told her off again for throwing her dinner around, she looked around the table looking for sympathy, it was so funny. She is really coming along in leaps and bounds, her walking is getting steadier but she still falls on her bottom now and again. Last night though she fell forward and bonked her nose on the floor, she cried for a little while but soon began laughing again. Its sweet when she gives Molly a cuddle, she wraps her hands around her and lays her head on Molly's back, and of course Molly laps it up.

The nights are very cold now Merlin, it makes snuggling under the duvet so much nicer. Remember how you jumped up on my bed and snuggled up back to back when it was cold? You was so warm and snugly. You were my very own toasty snugly blanket.

Good morning Merlin my sweet, wonderful and precious big boy, how are you today?

Your diary has been chosen as one of "Todays Picks," Well done my boy, I am so proud of you. Spud you son has also been chosen. I'm proud of you both.

Its quite a nice day today, its bright and sunny but quite fresh (chilly) but not too much so. Its quite cold at night and as I said yesterday when the dogs go outside to do their toilet before bed they don't hang around. During summer either Bella or Hobo like to mooch around for ages, one night Hobo wouldn't come inside so he was left outside all night. Anyway, it would be a really good run and play day for you today Merlin my boy, you could really chase Spud to your hearts content.

Hobo is very fast on his feet, Mike my son clocked him in his car at 40 Km/h, that's 24-25 Mph. The point I am making is, yesterday Hobo ran towards your hill, with Molly behind him keeping pace! I was astonished, she was flying! I know she can out pace Spud, but I had no idea she could actually keep up with Hobo.

Bella has been let out, now she wants to come inside. I let her in and she has gone back to bed. Her old bones must be aching in the cold.

Monday is Mia's 1st birthday, we are more excited then she is. She has a Teddy Bear that talks, we can actually download what it says via computer. I daren't get hold of it because my sense of humour will take over and really annoy Melissa my daughter.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy Merlin.

Good morning Merlin my sweet and wonderful big boy, I hope that you are having lots and lot of fun and game with your buddies.

Its a good play day today for you Merlin, its very overcast with a ground fog, plenty of visibility for you to run and chase Spud and put him in his place, as well as being quite chilly so you wouldn't overheat. The nights are quite chilly now, when I let the dogs out at night before bed they don't hang around like they usually do in summer, they come running inside hell for leather.

Mia my granddaughter is almost a year old this month, its scary how quickly the time has gone, it only seems like yesterday she came home. Mia is doing very well at play school, she has a little friend Zack they sit and jabber for hours so I suppose they both know what the other is saying lol. When Mike my son went to pick her up yesterday after work, he walked in and she ran/walked towards him with her arms out and a big smile on her face. Mike said it was so sweet, but it got even sweeter when Zack ran/walked towards him with his arms out. Mike picked up Mia then Zack put his arms out to be picked up. So sweet Merlin, so very sweet.

The pain in my back seems to have eased quite a bit, for which I am very thankful a I am getting fed up with being in pain all the time. Although I cannot bend over for very long before the pain comes back. I guess I cannot complain, there are millions of people worse off then me.

Good morning my sweet and wonderful big boy Merlin.

Good morning Merlin my sweet and wonderful big boy, how are you this bright but very chilly morning? Its pretty overcast and as I said quite chilly, although it would make a good run and play day for you my boy. Bella isn't going outside as much as its getting colder in the day, she prefers to lay down inside the house where its warmer.

You are a very lucky boy again Merlin, you have been given more wonderful gifts from TedEbear, Droopy, Odie, Maxi and BBF and Angel Whisper.

Every morning Molly jumps up and lays at the bottom of my bed cramping my legs so I have to get up whether I want to our not. She's laying there right now fast asleep.

Bella growled at Mia my Granddaughter the other day, as Mia wanted to pet her. Bella wasn't scolded too harshly as she is getting old and miserable, and doesn't want to be pulled about. However, Bella could have gotten up and walked away. Mia was told she mustn't try to play with Bella as she isn't as friendly as Molly, Spud or Hobo. I was quite proud of Spud a few days ago, Melissa my daughter put Mia on Spud's back and he let her do it. I told Spud I was proud of him and gave him a cuddle.

Mia is really getting mobile now, the other day she came running, well not exactly running, she was leaning too far forward and began to walk/run to keep her balance. It was so funny to watch. What is so sweet is when she comes walking towards me with her arms out wanting a cuddle from me and the other day she had a teddy bear in one hand and her pj's in the other. Oh Merlin I wish you were here to see it, unless of course you were looking down on her. She is really a sweet heart. Last night she was throwing her dinner around so I told her off, he face told the whole story, “My Granddad told me off, he's not supposed to do that.” Her bottom lip quivered but she didn't cry, she looked at her mum, Her Nana and her uncle Mike then back at me. Everyone was trying so hard not to laugh. She really is precious Merlin, she really is.
