Arrival Story:
My husband showed me a writeup to rehome an almost 2 year oldmini schnauzer. After losing our Annie the year before, he knew I wanted another. So I called, emailed a lot with his mom, met them & now he is living with us!

Bio:
We are Finn's 3rd and final home. His first two families didn't have time for him. His first family had twins, and the second family had to work a lot. We don't have much history on him on his early years, but it doesn't matter. He was anxious when we first got him. But now, he's adjusted pretty well. He's such a happy character. He has lots of energy and loves to run. He can jump any height and follows commands really well. He also has some agility equipment that we play on. He's a natural at jumping onto, through & over anything. We may have to see about agility lessons. He chases squirrels and now that we have Winston, he loves being chased. When we first got him he played a lot with Molly esp tug-a-war with toys - he would take all of them outside & make her mad. He has a lot energy and I'm not sure that Georgie and Molly think this is great. This year we added Winston to the family because he is closer in age to Finn. Winston has even more energy. The two of them keep each other in great shape. Neither has ever lived with another dog so they've become best friends and are inseparable. Since we had to spend a lot of time training, our parrot has even started saying "Finn"! He is really playful, energetic and very sweet. He's all boy, and loves everyone. He will be a natural at being a therapy dog when he gets older!

Bicycling!

My favorite new activity is bicycling with mom! Mom bought a WalkyDog attachment which has a leash and attaches to her bike. It is adjusted just for my height. She attaches the leash to a harness. The harness I have isn't ideal. It's better when I'm riding in the Ural with dad because it attaches at the back. And that's where I need it to keep me in a seated position. The new harness has the ring in the middle of my back. I should get that in the mail in just days.

Mom goes slower than me, BOL!!! She is still testing it out and doesn't want to put me in any danger. It keeps me the perfect distance away from the bike so we haven't had any mishaps. The bicycle has some kind of 3 speed internal gear system inside the rear hub, so that I can't get caught up in the mechanism. We have really wide bike lanes in our neighborhood and I'm attached so that I'm between the bike and the sidewalk. Mom thinks of everything!

I did see a cat today that I wanted to chase but mom sped up a little and told me to leave it, and I had to trot to keep up with her. Yesterday I was interested in some squirrels in a tree, but quickly learned that I can't pull away. That makes mom feel safer. I'm looking forward to more rides! Woo hoo, it's fun!
