Likes:
Eating things he shouldn't, barking, his human brother, Tristan

Pet-Peeves:
Brushing his beard, catching him stealing food

Favorite Toy:
His polar bear, and Nellie

Favorite Food:
Anything edible or marginally edible.

Favorite Walk:
We have a new favorite walk! We go down to the park twice a day now, and we visit with all the people and bark at all the other dogs (except when it is really early in the morning - Mom doesn't like when we do that. We go walking before the sun comes up!)

Best Tricks:
Snuggling, barking loudly (if those can be considered tricks). Ralph actually levitates when he barks.

Arrival Story:
Ralph was our first born - we got him one week after we got married, and he went with us everywhere. He was a bit crazy until we brought Nellie home, and she mellowed him out a bit. We love him and Nellie so much!

Bio:
Ralph loves to play, to take naps, to bark at birds, squirrels, people, other dogs, and to eat milk bones, cottage cheese, his kibble, and frozen brussel sprouts. He is also bad about stealing food from Nellie, and his human family - he is FAST! Ralph passed away this morning, May 26th. We love you so much Ralph, and life will never be the same without you. How can you ever repay a dog for the unlimited love that they give. We can only hope to be as generous and loving as he was. God bless you, Ralphie. xoxo

Ralph and Nellie's Travels:
We are well traveled Schnauzers! We originally came from the Midwest (Ralph was born in Kansas - Nellie in Missouri), but our mom and dad got us in North Carolina. We lived in Virginia where our parents are from, and for a little while in Georgia. When we moved to California, we got to ride in the car and see so many places! Ralph likes the front seat, so he got to see America from either mom or dad's lap. We love California, but miss our family back in Virginia!

Ralph the Garbage Disposal:
Most of my life could serve as a cautionary tale. Since I was 8 weeks old, I have been known to have consumed the following: Dry wall, baby teething rings, stuffing from pillows, pizza off of dad's plate, roast beef sandwich off of mom's plate, string (that was a nightmare!), crayons, caps off of markers, and most recently an entire box of Nilla wafers. Needless to say, I have had pancreatitis a few times. My family does their best to keep things out of my reach, but I am one sneaky boy.

Ralph's 14th Birthday!

Wow...I can't believe I am 14 today! Thanks to everyone who sent me gifts and rosettes - those made my birthday so special!

I move a lot slower now, but I still keep the same schedule. I never miss a meal (and eat just as fast as ever) and I make sure I get my walk twice a day. :) It takes a little longer to get to the park, but my Mom and Dad are patient with me. Nellie moves slow too, so at least my best buddy doesn't leave me behind. Sometimes I move like a really old man, but I have my moments of spunk, they just don't last as long as they used to.

My family tells me how much they love me, and how they can't believe it has been 14 years! It is good to be loved as much as I am.

I can't wait for tonight - I get my birthday roast beef sandwich from Arby's! I was told I have to share, though...oh well!

I have had a great 13th birthday! I got extra biscuits and 2 extra long walks today, and my whole family has given me lots of love. Nellie even let me finish her breakfast this morning - and I always like to get extra breakfast! My Mom and Dad can hardly believe that I am 13 - they talked a lot about me when I was a puppy today, and how time goes by so fast. When they got me, I was so tiny that I couldn't even get up the steps, so they would carry me. :)

And thank you to all my Dogster friends who sent me so many gifts today - that made me feel really special!

Ralph's Birthday! 12 years old!

February 11th was my 12th birthday! My mom and dad can hardly believe it - it feels like just yesterday when they brought me home. I got my favorite birthday treat - a roast beef sandwich from Arby's! (No bun, of course - I avoid carbs! :)) I had to share with Nellie, which was okay, but mom did have to protect her while she had her half, because I have been known to steal food.

Oh well - it was a great birthday! My parents think I look pretty great for a 12 year old boy. I still like to play, though I get tired faster than I used to.

P.S. - One more thing! Mom changed my weight range on my Dogster page! I have lost weight, and now weigh 24 lbs. instead of 26 lbs., so that is good news!
