Arrival Story:
We found ourselves with a faithful, loving dog in our backyard. Casey loved us to no end for saving her from the prison she had been trapped in just the day before. Because she loved us so much she expected love back to. We constantly had to leave the house though and as we saw her face each time we left her alone, that face filled with mourning and pleading for us to stay, not knowing what she did wrong. So as we left her one more time, we decided that she needed a companion. So, again we returned to Casey's old home. We looked at all the dogs and tryed to decide. We had Casey meet a small, lap dog we had liked earlier. No match. We returned again, a couple days later. I had my eye on a sweet boxer dog that begged me to be taken home like Casey had. Mom however was not for this dog. She had her eye on a sweet afghan that in my opinion, looked like a small horse. It wasn't that she was big, but her fur gave off that appearance. We found at that she didn't have much longer till she was put to sleep and that she had been abused and traded through 3 different owners. We arranged for her to meet Casey. They played and played and Tara came over to us as we watched and rubbed her head against our knees in appreciation and love. At that moment we knew we had our first dog's new companion. Casey and Tara have been in fights and have fought for authority many times. We have witnessed most of these but are not worried. Isn't that what loving sisters do?
