Leave a bone for LouLou Gordon

Nicknames: LouLou van Fafffenheim, Wang (as in Wang, Dang, Doodle), Doody, "Face"

Quick Bio:
Likes: squeaking any squeak toy (sending messages from the dog planet), snow, washing Daisy's face, looking out front door from pillow, tummy rubs, cats, cold weather

Pet-Peeves: being left behind, Sadie

Favorite Toy: squeaky lamb

Favorite Food: Innova Senior, Nature's Recipe Carved, Oinker Roll

Favorite Walk: Shelley Lake, Millbrook Exchange Offleash Dog Park

Best Tricks: Harpo Marx impression (with squeaky toy), kissing you 10 times before you can react (longest tongue in North Carolina)

Arrival Story: We wanted a companion for Daisy, who is her half-sister (same poodle was her father). We took Daisy to see the litter, and LouLou chose us!

Bio: LouLou was Top Dog until Sadie barged in. They've had a sullen truce since 1993. She is the most affectionate and friendly of our 3 dogs. She loves cold weather - she gets really frisky, and it's hard to make her come in from the snow. She "grooms" Daisy like a cat; washes her face.
March 31, 2009: We said goodbye to LouLou this morning. She had turned 18 in January. She was a frail old lady, but she still loved to lick baby food from our fingers and sniff around the bushes when we carried her out. She was no longer able to fight off an infection. We love her and miss her so much. Albert especially grieves. We will see her at the Rainbow Bridge with Daisy & Sadie.

Although I've enjoyed the attention I've received as an "only dog" after my sisters Daisy and Sadie passed away last summer, my folks have been worried about me - I'm now well over 15 years old, my arthritis has contributed to a limp, and my appetite has become picky. They thought maybe a new dog would give me companionship, and I now have Albert as a younger brother. He is perfect - he doesn't try to boss me or force me to play, but when I decide to tear through the house, he's right by my side, looking delighted. We went to Bark Around the Park today and met several old friends - Novell and Dagmar (both on Dogster) and Bear. We had a great time and got LOTS of treats! The stroller we share was a big hit.

Now that it's cooler, we can go more often to the Dog Park (us short-muzzled breeds feel the heat even more than others). We saw Beau again, who's a Pup Pal and my special friend. He's a 10-year-old Pekingese mix who looks like me! We told his Mom about the new location for Wag/Gourmutts, and we ran into them there today - right before all of us met again at the Dog Park! I like Beau because he's dignified and he respects my dignity, too.

My sister Daisy already wrote about our plans for the weekend (Blessing of the Animals). Today, our mom took us to the new Wag Pet Boutique/Gourmutts Bakery here in North Raleigh in the Stonehenge Shopping Center. We love visiting Wag's original location, in a little house on Glenwood South, where we have had terrific times at their Yappy Hours (the Halloween party last year was super). But we're glad to have a new store close to home. We got all sorts of yummy treats (it's two stores in one location). We met a wonderful greyhound named Novell and a VERY vocal - and funny - 6-month-old Husky puppy named Loki. We look forward to weekly visits!
