Arrival Story:
Rumi was born in my bed, premature, 1 oz, a tenth the size of his brother. Mom wouldn't feed him, because he would have died if I hadn't fed or helped mom feed him every hour round the clock for 3 months. then he had parvo as a puppy and survived that. He is a miracle boy.

Bio:
His dad was killed 2 years ago and Rumi took over as man of the house. He is protective and brave now and devoted to me (as was his dad). He was recently diagnosed end Oct.06 with chylothorax, a congenital progressive fatal disease. He is on a no fat diet I cook twice a day, a few meds, had thoracentecis (surgery to remove the fluid from his lung) and is doing great. I think the vet expected him to be dead by now, but he acts like his old self and is a happy boy.
