I Got My Canine Good Neighbor (CGN)!

Dear Diary,
I'm sooooo excited! Guess what guess what?! I GOT MY CGN...yup, all in one go...passed it the first time around! :)

What is the CGN you ask? Well, its short for Canine Good Neighbor - equivalent to the American Canine Good Citizen test :)

The Canadian Kennel Club will be sending me my official certificate shortly. Wow, can you believe it? They made me do all sorts of things, like walk around these orange pylons while they made noises and rattled squeaky teddy bears in my face and threw toys and loud thingamabobbers about. Then I had to go outside and behave - can you imagine? I had to walk nicely while these strange dogs barked about and all these new smells entered my nostrils. WOW, it was hard I gotta say, but I did well according to the examiner. My mom was very proud of me and she gave me tons of hugs and kisses and praises.

I'm glad you know? I feel good about this. Maybe people will begin to realize that not all us "Pit Bulls" are evil, mean, dogs....most of us are actually complete sweethearts. Which reminds me, there was another pittie at the CGN testing place too - she was also getting her certificate! Soooo proud :)

Well, that's about all I have to say for now. Mum says she's gonna look into the St. John's Ambulance program to see if I could qualify for doing my theraphy dog test. She doesn't really know anything about it yet but she's gonna find out and maybe one day I can help some folks who need a little extra attention from a gal like me. :)
