Arrival Story:
Jack came into our lives when our Cairn Terrier Trampy was at the grand old age of 19 & was really poorly, we had decided that we did not want another dog as it is too painfull losing them, we had already gone through losing Trampy's brother Benji at 15 with a brain tumour, & then wondered if Trampy would make his 16th birthday. One day we went to collect two of our Grandchildren, as we arrived the lady next door came out with this little timid bundle & said do you want a puppy, my Husband said no with a soft look on his face, the lady said her Daughters partner had bought the dog as a present but due to the fact they had a new baby her daughter could cope with both. My Husband & I said we would have a chat about it, we collected our Grandchildren, then we collected the Dog on the condition that he was on a trial period to see if he got along with our 4 cats & was not going to harrass Trampy too much. On our way home we named him Jack & after 2 day's he was staying for life. Trampy passed away 3 weeks later on 11th Nov, he had turned 19 on the 8th Sep 2005, although it felt at the time our hearts were breaking, Jack has certainly mended them & we feel somehow he was meant to be, we feel blessed.
