Ear scritches, bones, chewy sticks, kisses, people who let him kiss them, ladies
Loud noises, chaos, being alone
He wasn't much for toys, but loved bones and squeaky balls.
Ground beef, bologna, beef stew. And he went WILD when he smelled cheese.
He used to love to go up to the bridge nearby so he could watch the cars go below us.
Sit, shake, down, roll over, speak, and 'wave'
(In Loving Memory) When I was a kid, my family and I intended on rescuing an English Springer Spaniel, and the Springer Spaniel rescue we contacted said they had one we could meet. We drove out to meet him, and found an entirely different breed of dog instead! They admitted that they weren't sure what he was. We fell in love immediately, though, and he went home with us that day.
Brownie was a very sweet, good-natured dog. He aged gracefully, from a clever, mischievous young'n to a wise, handsome and polite old pup. He was incredibly intelligent and resilient, and amazingly, lived to the old old age of 16. In his last two years of life, he was nursed through cancer by his best friend Sierra, who you can also meet on our profile.
Canine supervision is always neccesary!
