Saw the Doc

We all went to the Dr. today. Mainly we went because mom suspected I had an ear infection. Yep she was right. Yeastie ears the doc called. Now I have to have this cold slimy stuff put in my ears!

We all got out toes trimmed and a heartworm test. Everything else checked out fine.

Mom went fishing in the pond and I got to torment the gold fish while she cleaned the pond. They were in a bucket so I got to sit and watch them swim around.

I had my portrait done!

Mom sent her favorite phot of me to an animal artist to have her draw my portrait. She did a wonderful job.

By the way, Buddy and I have become pals and it is pretty neat having someone to play with. All Briar is interested in is her ball or frisbee.

We love our new house by the lake and I love all the critters there are around to watch. Mom gave me the job of keeping the squirrels off the deck and out of her bird feeders. I like having a job to do and I am really good at it too.

Naughty Nadia escapes through dog door.

After a year my silly cat has finally figured out that the dog door leads to the outside! Mom found her on the patio this morning and called me to herd her back into the house.

When I adopted Nadia for my own cat, she didn't have any front claws (mom hates that). So, mom makes sure that she never goes outside. Today she got locked in a bedroom until mom gets home from work.

This means I am going to have a really boring day without my cat to play with. Hmmmm, wonder what else I can find to do....

Nothing much new...

Life is normal nothing to exciting to report. The older children came to visit at Christmas and I enjoyed seeing and playing with them again. I got loads of toys and chews in my stocking.

We haven't been fishing lately but have gone on lots of long walks and went to our friends by the lake and played. They have to young puppies and they are alittle too wold for my taste. I make sure they know the rules and do what they are told.

We Moved!

Long Story Short...Mom and Dad got transferred with their company to Arkansas! But you know what...I love it here!! We go fishing every weekend and there is plenty of open space around here to run and play. We have gone camping here twice and it is only a half our from home. No more LOONNGGG car rides, Yeah!

I write more later. Mom just signed us up and Dogster Plus, It's way cool!

Now we have to wait...WOO WOO!

Well mom says the lakes are still all frozen so we can't get to the fish. Now we have to wait till May 16th for our camping trip. I am soooo sad. The good thing is that even though we have to wait 2 more weeks for our trip we do get to go for 3 extra days! That means more fishin!!

Been doing a bit of herding and playing with my cat Nadia. She really fits in well with our family and I love following her around the house. Mom won't let me chase her, but I can WALK around following her. She lays down next to me and purrs and listening to her purr makes me fall asleep. When mom is watching she laughs at me.

Got to see my girl the other day. (Mom's daughter) I miss her since she moved out. I get kinda sad when she leaves. But she always comes 'round every now and then. She got her own pup recently, an upstart GSD. I put him in his place when he comes with her for a visit. It is MY house after all.

Goin' Fishin'

The camper's almost ready and I am countin' the days to the trout season opening. I am a great fisherman and always help bring in the fish. Come on April 30th!!!

Camping and fishing are my favorite things to do. Even more than herding sheep. I have my very own fish stringer and the first fish of the day is always mine!

Besides fishing I get to chase the squirrels out of our campsite and make sure no strange dogs come near my stuff. I also have bear warning duty every night. I sleep next to Mom in the camper, it's my job to let her know if the bear is around when we make a run to the potty house.

The bear usually comes around while we are fishing too but once he sees me he goes the long way around. HE ISN'T TOUCHING MY FISH!

I can't wait to go fishing!! I will post a picture of me with my first trout of the season when we get back.

I'm very busy these days...

Sorry I haven't written in a while. I have been a very busy dog. First we had Christmas, I got tons of stuff. Then the daughter moved to her own apartment and took the devil cat with her. I missed the cat really bad even though she hated me. I was depressed and not eating. Mom took me to the vet and the vet said I needed my own cat. So I got to pick one out while we were there. Mom and I adopted Nadia and she likes dogs and I really like her. She even lets me lick her. I am happy again and that makes mom happy too.

Mom was really worried about me and decided I needed a new activity so we started taking herding lesson together. Well the lessons are really for mom since I already know what to do. But we are learning to read the sheep and I am learning which way to go and when to lay down when I am working. I love it and we have a great time every week.

So I have to go now cause it's Wed and almost time to go work the sheep.

Counting the Days!

Vacation Here We Come!!! Mom says we are leaving for 10 whole days of vacation Oct 9th. We cleaned and packed the tent trailer and all my good stuff is in there waiting to go! I want to go now. That trailer is just sitting there ready to pull, but we have to wait till the 9th! I am going to go fishing and hiking. We are planning a special hike to the upper lakes. All the trails are leash free so we get to run ahead and check out the trail. I don't think I can wait 11 days...wooo woooo!
