Arrival Story:
She was one of 28 puppies I helped pull from a puppy mill. She was one of three that didn't seem to be too afraid of people, and the one that sat curled in my lap while I was on the phone with shelter after shelter, trying to find room for all the other dogs. We sort of bonded, and for a time I believed she'd be going to my mom in NC. My mom decided she was not yet ready for a puppy, and by then I was too attached. Not to mention, Rune liked having another BC around. Idolon certainly makes up for al lthe fetching Rune doesn't do!

Bio:
Because of her foul start in life in the grimy crate of a puppy mill, not to mention all the malnutrition that went with it, Idolon has IBD, aka Inflammatory Bowel Disorder. So far this is being remedied with a special diet, and vigilantly watching what she eats and making sure she can't have any treats containing certain foods. Its difficult, and it will probably be something she has to do for the rest of her life. But she's worth it. Today, she has overcome the worst of it, and we have gradually introduced certain treats into her diet. This helps when we are training during agility, and learning new tricks.
