Arrival Story: After our Barney Boy died in July, my husband searched Petfinder for a new snuggling buddy. He fell in love with Walter. The kids and I went to see him unbeknownst to Daddy and adopted him. Walter had to be neutered, so we left him there and went back the next week to pick him up. Boy, was Daddy surprised to see Walter at our home! When we'd adopted him, they took his picture off Petfinder, so Daddy had been all bummed out. Luckily nobody--not even our 4 year old--spilled the beans about him being adopted by US :) A breeder later said he wasn't a basset/coonhound mix as the shelter had thought, but, rather, that he was a dwarf coonhound. His legs are much shorter that a standard blue tick's are, but his body is the right size. His head is so big! Very dopey dog. (But we love him!)
