Birthday: January 15th 1994 Likes: eating, sleeping, walks, car rides...have I mentioned eating? Pet-Peeves: sometimes my sister Zero got on my nerves...and I hated being clean! Favorite Toy: I did't like to play with toys but I loved nylabones! Favorite Food: I loved food I'd eat anything!!! Favorite Walk: anywhere was fine with me Best Tricks: sit, down, stay...but only if you had treats to reward me with! Arrival Story: Patches was resued from the pound when she was just nine months old. Her previous owners were moving into an apartment that didn't allow dogs so they had no choice but to take her to a shelter. We adopted her just days before her scheduled euthanization date. She never did many tricks or anything like that, but she loves all people including children, and all animals and was such a goofball. Bio: Patches was your typical laid back beagle. She'd rather sniff around outside and eat anything that she finds edible (and sometimes things that aren't so edible lol) than do anything else. It was all about her- she just loved doing her own thing. She was in 4H for 8 years and learned obedience- she got distracted really easily but she did pretty well. She also was a master of escape. She figured out how to unhook her lead no matter what type of hook we used! She would also pretend to cough or have trouble walking or something so you'll let loose on the leash, and then she'll take off to wherever she was trying to go! Patches loved all animals and once she was even seen nose to nose with a white-tailed deer in our backyard.
**After a battle with heart disease, Patches has passed away on June 25, 2007. She was 13 years old. There is a star named after her in the Phoenix constellation in her memory.
