Arrival Story:
We visited the shelter one day to look at the dogs, and there was Lucy. We were looking for a very young puppy and she was a big girl at 4 months old, but we couldn't resist. She was the smartest girl in the whole place and had the prettiest eyes that said, "Please take me home!" She had a sad story: An older woman owned her and had taught her to sit and shake and to be house trained, but she had to go to a nursing home and they took Lucy to the shelter (her name was Sadie, at the time). Lucy had so much fun when we took her outside on a leash to see if she was the one for us. We fell in love instantly and took her home that night!

Bio:
Lucy has a big back yard full of oak trees. She loves to play in the grass and under the deck during the day. When Mommy and Daddy are home, she is an indoor doggy and loves to help out in the kitchen, sit on the couch and watch TV (Animal Planet is her favorite channel), play with her toys, and sleep. She thinks sliding across the tile floor is awesome! Dive bombing the bed is pretty cool, too! Her motto is: You can never give enough kisses! She is a great swimmer and is learning not to be scared to get in the water. She likes to play fetch in Lake Arlington and chase the ducks when she is done. She has traveled to Austin, TX and played in Barton Springs with many, many dogs. She can't wait to go the the beach and play in the waves. Lucy loves to go on walks and meet other dogs and new people. She is very polite upon meeting others. Lucy also likes to go on rides in the car, although they make her very sleepy.
