Here are the rules:
Because it’s Thanksgiving time, there is a change to the rules. Each player needs to tell seven special things they are thankful for. Tagged dogs must post the rules in their diary and their 7 things. Then choose 7 pups to tag and list their names. Let them know by pawmail or rosette that they have been tagged and to read your diary for the instructions on how to play.
Seven Things I’m Thankful For:
1. I am thankful for my Mommy and Daddy - they ♥ me SOOOO much!
2. I am thankful to have loving puppy sisters, Starr, Denali, Aurora and my kittie sister Savana
3. I am thankful for adoption and no kill shelters
4. I am thankful for my PAWSOME pals!
5. I am thankful that Mommy finds places to let me run free without my muzzle and leash
6. I am thankful that I have so many nice things (toys, beds, clothes, etc)
7. I am thankful to just be here!!
Yesterday afternoon the weather was nice so Mommy decided to take us all to the dog park to run around and play in the creek.
We all packed in the tiny rental car we have right now (long story) and off we went.
We got there and you could just smell how much fun this place is. Mommy took us down into "The Pit" which is a big open area where I got to run Zoomies with Denali and Starr. It was so much fun. I ran and rolled around in the sand (trying to take my muzzle off because I HAVE to wear it - BOO) and just had FUN!
After a bit of Zoomies, Mommy took us into the forest for the hike. It was so nice in the forest. We met this really cool dog named Polly and her humans (including kids) who took a real interest in me and what I've been through (don't get me started). So, they decided to join us on our hike. Unfortunatly due to law (Boo BILL 132 - Pitte Ban) I had to stay on my leash, but I had fun anyway. Every now and then when Mommy knew we weren't going to run into people, she droped my leash and let me run the trails with Denali, Starr, our new friend Polly, and the kids. It was such a rush!!!
Our hike ended at this amazing place! It was the doggy watering hole!!! There were dogs as far as the eye could see splashing about in the creek, lazing in the sun on the banks and running in the long grass. WOW!!! It was sheer overload!! For me, it was a bit scary because too many dogs at a time don't go over well with me - brings back some bad memories. Since Mommy knows this, she took me to a nice little spot slightly away from the dogs and put me on my super long leash so I could play in the water with Denali and Polly. I didn't really like the swimming part, but wading sure was fun. And so was chasing Polly.
Every now and then a dog or two would come over and say hi and that was kinda nice. They still scare a little but Mommy assured me it would be ok and I was learning. However, a few people got really mad and yelled at their dogs for coming near me. They say I'm mean. I just don't get it. I guess they don't understand that I HAVE to wear my muzzle and leash or Mommy and I both could get in BIG trouble. Mommy says ignorance will be the death of us (meaning pitties/staffies) so she doesn't like to take any chances, even though that sometimes means I don't get to have as much fun as the other dogs. I get it though. She is protecting me and being responsible - making sure I live a full and happy life. Thank you Mommy for wanting the best for me!
Anyway, we played at the creek for a few hours and just had a BLAST! I climbed across logs and splashed about and even layed out and worked on my tan... *winks* BOL
When it was finally time to go, I was a bit sad, but Mommy promised I could come play again. YAYYYY! So, we hiked back to the place where we had left the car and piled in and made our way home. I didn't really realize until I got home, just how tired I was. I climed up on the couch in my favourite sunny spot and slept for hours.
