Good Report from the Vet

TJ's smear test on his lip showed no signs of cancer.

The test showed only irritation. He will continue on the antibiotics, and have a re-check at the vet's after Thanksgiving.

Brrrr! Wintertime

We are now in the coldest time of year. TJ is not a big fan of extremes--too cold or too hot. He likes Comfort at all times. This is partly how he got the nickname of The Little Prince.

For the winter months, I keep a doggy heating pad in his bed all during the day and he sleeps on the electric blanket on the bed with us at night. He shivers when he goes out, even if it is only for a minute! But then he comes back in and settles down with some hot dog food and his blanket!

TJ is ready for Springtime, and the sooner the better!

Thanksgiving, 2007

This week is Thanksgiving. TJ is doing fine. He had an eye checkup last week, and although he has a little bump on his right eye, it does not need to be removed unless it gets worse. His eyes seem a little dry sometimes, but the doc said that the outer part (cornea) is actually hardened, and has less nerve endings, so there's no pain for him.

He still enjoys eating, sleeping, and getting attention in the evenings. He seems old, but not uncomfortable or ill in any way.
