She can be very jealous. She does tolerate her cat brother, Rufus Roy. We are looking for a new doggie addition to the family, and she will adjust to them, too.

Me! She is very laid back, but she will occasionally play "dog fight" with me.

She prefers cat food over dog food and will try to steal some from Rufus.
Favorite Walk:
Ivy LOVES the park and hiking trails.

She can "Give Five" and always obeys. She also will eat unwanted food secretly given to her under the table!
Arrival Story:
She showed up at our house one day. She looked very under nourished and it took us 3 days to get her to come to us. She must have been abused by a male, because she is often afraid of men and if my husband raises his voice, she gets frightened.
Bio:
Her nickname is "KookaIvy" because when my daughter was 2 she loved Scooby Doo and one day started calling Scooby-"KookaIvy". ?? So, she is still sometimes affectionally called this.

Summer is almost here and it's been busy around here. My human parents renewed their vows on May 19, after 10yrs of marriage. There were so many people at our house! Lots of leftover burgers and hot dogs from the BBQ. Awesome! They were also playing volleyball and I don't understand why I couldn't play? I'd be patiently sitting there, awaiting my turn for the ball and someone would shoo me off the court. How unfair! Summer means more outdoors and more cookouts! Yum. With people coming over-it also means more baths for me---ugh!!

My Mommy was gone all weekend. She and a friend went to Gatlinburg, TN for the weekend with all the kids. I thought that I would enjoy the sound of silence, but that didn't happen. The first night I slept in the bedroom, wishing my Mommy was there. I like Dad too, but he's not Mommy! When he came home from work on Saturday and I saw it was him coming through the door, I sadly went back into the bedroom and continued waiting. She FINALLY got home on Sunday and I was doing a "happy dance" at the top of the stairs and then I ran and almost knocked her down. I think she missed me too. I smelled everybody and Gatlinburg seemed like it was a nice place to visit=lots of neat smells that I've never smelled before. Unfortunately I get carsick and could never go with them. Who needs to go, I can curl up on the couch with my bone and watch the Travel Channel with Mommy!

Saturday the weather was beautiful! I got to roll in the grass and my Mommy brushed me until I fell asleep. Can Life get any better? I watched the girls play and put up with my neighbor's new dog. Ugh, she's a pain. She barks at me through the fence and she's HUGE! I think they better make sure she's really a dog and not a gorilla. I've never seen a head that big! Their other dog is an embarassment to the canine family. She'll jump on the trampoline with all the kids and looks silly. I'm too cool for that. I prefer to stand by Mommy, behaved and roll my eyes at those silly other dogs. Mom informed me I'm going to the groomer soon---only if they can find me! HA! I've got hiding places they don't even know about.
