My 7th Birthday

My birthday is really on Monday but mom has to work so she said just me and her would celebrate it today. Mom harnessed me and only me and we drove to town. First we went to the post office and that was boring and then we went to Petco. Petco was so much fun, I pranced around like I owned the place. Mom let me pick out a toy and I choose a duck that squeakes, and I trotted around the store with the duck hanging out of my mouth. There were other sibes there which hardly every happens and we were not sure of each other. Some 7 year old boy was facsinanted with me and was so impressed that we were both 7 years old. Mom let me pick a healthy treat for everyone at home. We then went to the pharmacy and I got a lot of "oh he's so beautiful" comments. Then we went to In N Out burger and we got cheeeseburgers to take home to the fammily. Boy were those yummy. The lady at In N Out has the same birthday as me! The last place was mom's parents house and I totally investigated the big yard and I went inside for a minute and we forgot the kitty lives inside so they had to hurry and hide him from me. I don't do well with kitties. I came home worn out and we all went for a hike in the mountains, and then we got some gooey honey and honey comb from the hive. It was a wonderful birthday!

Treadmill and Boz the genius

Mom got a new treadmill yesterday. Of course the babes were all curious except for Steinway. Well............last night I fired it up and started excercising. Maskie had a FIT she wanted to know what this big old machine was doing in her house with her mommy on it. She wiggled and talked and whinned. I don't want any of the dogs to think it is ok to come near it when it is moving so I kept telling them, no, get back. Boz my genius is so smart and he knew that the treadmill could possibly hurt them. Sooooooo everytime anyone of them even thought of coming near it he would nip at them and make them move back. He was herding everyone outside and away from the treadmill. Maskie had issues accepting that and he finally got her to lay down a safe distance from the treadmill. She kept talking and whinning and wiggling, but he kept her away and put himself between her and the treadmill. I love my smart little boy he really is a genius!!!!!

The Vet aka Disneyland

Boz had his check up today and going to the Vet is like going to Disneyland for him, he just adores it! The vet said that he is so handsome and that he has the heart of an athlete. She also said that his teeth look wonderful. Much to Boz's dismay we work hard on his pearly whites. Boz just caught a big mouse. I heard a big ruckus outside and he had rearranged some rocks and bricks and pulled the poor scared critter out from under the a/c unit. Boz never eats them he just kills them.

Rattlesnake

Boz and Mascara walked over a big fat diamondback yesterday morning. I was walking them on our mountain and we just didn't see it. I can't believe he didn't rattle at us or bite one of us. We are so thankful that we are ok. About a month ago Boz's back leg brushed against another smaller diamondback. It's been very snakey out here!

Petco date!

Today was the grand opening for Petco. I told Boz all week we had a date for today. Boz was the only Siberian there today. He was like a little celebrity. Probably 50 people commented on him and what a pretty/beautiful dog he is. Boz was just beside himself with excitement. Some little kids asked if he was a snow dog. Boz and I got our picture taken and he posed proudly. He is completely worn out from his adventure!

Food Police

Boz is being the food police over the dog food. He lays by the bowls and challenges any of the other dogs if they try to eat. I don't know if he wants them to go on a diet or what! He wants it all, all the food, toys, treats, love and attention. He's still my boy and we will work thru this.

Wild skunks live at the barn and eat cat food:

Boz kissed the dying skunk goodbye, after the pack of wolves attacked it. The skunks fearlessly look for snacks inside the wolf-pen and lose their lives in the middle of night. Boz comforted the skunk and wished it well, as it was leaving this world. Everything now smells like skunk, and this is not enough of a nuisance to save the skunks when they wander into wolf territory.

My Boz

Boz is just adorable. I swear he can read my mind. He thinks he owns the world. Boz is in charge of us and the other dogs. The funny thing is he is the smallest but he gets/demands the most respect. He is my little champion!
