For anyone who wonders why people want a dog...

I've had a pretty rough couple of weeks, with health problems, stress at work, and all that fun stuff. Well, the other night, my asthma finally caught up to me, and I had, while not quite an attack, what you could definitely call an "episode", with my lungs feeling not so great. Nonetheless, I went to get Mira for her last walk of the night.

Now, usually, Mira is really hyper, all bouncing up and down when she sees the leash. But not that night. Instead, she came over real calmly and, when I kneeled down to hook up the leash, she came forward and pressed her head up against my chest and kept it there. Once we got back in, all she wanted to do was cuddle up with me, licking my hands.

I absolutely love my little dog. No matter how bad things are, she's always got a way to cheer me up. I really do think, once we get her settled down a little more, she's gonna make an awesome therapy dog.
