Arrival Story:
We selected Truly Scrumptious to come home with us from a local breeder who had too many bullies at the time. She was 18 months old and stole our hearts when she "bullie-hugged" us. We also couldn't resist her polka-dot ears!

Bio:
Trudi is a beautiful bullie! Everybody tells us so. She is sweet, loveable and easy going. On September 21, 2007 we lost our battle to save our precious girl to an incurable intestinal illness. We suspect she had some form of cancer that did not allow her body to respond to normal treatment. In July, she had a relatively normal spell of diarrhea. We began a regime of bland food and medication, but none of the regular treatments seemed to resolve the issue. By early August the situation became more serious and rounds of steroids were begun, but her body just didn't respond as it should. Several late night visits to the emergency room, hospital stays and IV treatments did nothing to help. Surgical interventions offered were just exploratory to determine the root cause, but there didn't seem to be any option that would cure her. Evenutally, she began leaking protein and losing weight. She was voraciously hungry and unable to absorb any nutrients from the food she was eating. By mid September it seemed we were in a losing battle and her suffering was unbearable. Trudi was the most loving and special puppy we have had. We miss her with all our hearts and have not gotten over her loss, but we know she is at peace and no longer suffering as she was here with us. Our hearts will always be together.
