Arrival Story: Genghis is my 3rd of 4 Shar-peis, the second of only 2 who lived more than a year. Fate brought him to me...he was born the very day my first Pei baby died. I knew he was meant to be with me. One soul went up, another came down. He is my love, my heart.
Born and raised in Michigan, Genghis flew to Washington, DC at the tender age of 8 weeks! A real pro! He popped out of his travel crate ready to greet the world! [WHAT'S UP?!]
Bio: Genghis is a silver-sable, horsecoat, meat-mouth Shar-pei. He is very delicate and emotional...the sweetest baby! He loves to snuggle and prefers comfort! He's very affectionate and friendly. A typical Pei, he is weary of strangers and can show great displeasure if anything he sees or hears is not "Pei approved!" He is very smart and can be quite stubborn when he wants to have his way, like on walks...when he wants to sniff something for an hour and dead weights into what we call..."the anchor!"

The Last Forum I Posted In: Kokoa Girl needs our help fast!
I'm 9 years old today! [YAY] I can't believe it! Mom keeps hugging me and singing to me! [Is that really necessary?!...MOOOOOOOOM, 'nuf already!]
I know 9 is supposed to be "old" but I don't feel old! I feel gRRRRRReat! [BIG SMILE] I've had a really great year! It's been so wonderful having Mom home all the time and I have tons of new friends thanks to her work. I've had lots of adventures and my days are always different!
Mom keeps saying I need to stay with her for a long, long time. I'm not going anywhere!

Please keep lil' Ru in your thoughts and prayers. And please keep his mom and dad in your thoughts and prayers. His mom is absolutely devastated and inconsolable.
Ru will always be with us, in our hearts. We will remember all the special moments we were blessed to have with him.
He was a very special lil' Pei. A little lovebug, who went through so much in his short little life. We will focus on remembering the good times.
We miss him more than we can say. Our hearts are with him and we thank you all for your support and friendship.
You all know my little "cuz" Rudy through my diary!
Ru is an adorable loving little 2 year-old Pei who - through a series of unfortunate developments in his short life - has aggressive tendencies that have led his family to make the hard decision that Ru needs a new family. As hard as it was to come to this decision, they know it's what's best for little Ru.
So, our little bear needs a new home. He has special issues which make it hard for him to be in any ol' family. He needs a family who knows and understands Peis, and especially a family that understands his special issues and needs.
Ru needs to be in a home where there are no children, no other animals, unless you think you can integrate him into a home with other animals. He is dog aggressive to dogs he doesn' t know, but he's the sweetest bear with his pack and with other dogs he knows well.
Ideally, he needs a home that is away from the hussle and bustle of the city, a home where there are minimal or no stresses.
I don't want to post Rudy's entire history here in my diary, but if you think you might be able to help Ru or know a reliable Pei lover who might be able to help him, please let me know and I can have my mom send you more info on Ru and put you in touch with Ru's mom.
Ru's mom, my TT Allison, is heartbroken about having to part with Rudy. She loves him SO much and he adores her! You know how we Peis can be about our humans! [SMILE] But unfortunately, Rudy is so overprotective of TT Allison's new baby boy that he has been snapping at adults and toddlers. And as a new mom who will have toddlers in the house, she can't take a chance that Ru might hurt someone and be taken away from her. She would rather find him a home that will be better for him and his special needs.
Read all about Ru in my diary and on his page and see him in action in my videos and his. You'll see that he's just the sweetest little bear. He loves to play, he loves chasing squirrels, he's very well mannered, and he's a major cuddler!
My mom wishes she could take him but we're not able to. Since he can't be with his family or with ours, we want to make sure he finds the best home and family we can find him.
