I am soo excited mommy and daddy built us our own personal doggy park!! We have sticks we can chew and a wood pile as our jungle gym! I will journal more about our personal dog park later. I love my mommy and daddy!

Pet-Peeves:
Mommy wiping my paws when I come in the house after it rains. Also, I don't understand why the frozen sticks (icicles) disappear!

Favorite Toy:
rope-a-bone

Favorite Food:
Treats

Favorite Walk:
in our field

Best Tricks:
When daddy or mommy throws sticks in the water, I swim out to retrieve them, and I also bow.

Arrival Story:
I was lost and all alone in a field because I got separated from my biological mother. The field was a scary place because I didn't know where I was (I was only 2 months old)! After I started whining for my biological mother, I saw this really tall human walking towards me. When this human leaned down to pick me up, I yelped because I didn't know whether I was going to be hurt or not. When I let this human pick me up, I was still scared, but it felt good to be nurtured and cared for again. Anyway, no one knew (not even me) that I had a serious illness the humans call parvo. I had to go to the vet everyday to get injections of saline salution underneath my skin on the back of my neck! This felt very uncomfortable, but if it hadn't been for this tall human (which now I consider her mommy) I would have died! I am now 2 years old, and I love it when my daddy plays with me and throws sticks for me to carry (I think he wants me to bring them back to him, but I have fun running with them and chewing them.) Oh ya, we have a pond too! I wasn't sure of water at first, but I love the water now (except showers in mommy and daddy's bathroom). I love Christmas! Santa Claus brought me a floating water toy for Christmas (I am soo excited!), but Mommy and Daddy said I have to wait until late spring (or on warm days) before I swim in the pond. I am happy with my family, and I am glad they love me.

My dad's helping me write this. My paws keep punching too many keys, and I would rather chew the mouse. Christmas was great! I got new toys, new bones, and new toys (I love my toys). My parents were home all the time. Usually, they leave earlier with books and stay up late studying.

I miss Hathor though. Her outside kennel is right next to mine and we play all the time. Hathor even shares her toys with me. I think she expects me to return them but I keep them with me (until mommy throws them back over the fence to Hathor). Dad told me Hathor got "broke," but I think he really means fixed. So, I only see her on supervised visits.

Dad told me about a new toy he is getting ready to install when Hathor is able to spend the day outside again. He is getting two doggie tires from the store, then is going to tie a stout rope between the tires and through the fence. I can tug a war with Hathor through the fence.

If I am really good, he will also build an airial version on springs. He told me when I jump up and grab the ball, Hathor's ball will bounce up. Hopefully, Hathor will jump for her ball.

Unfortunately, Mommy and Daddy brought home new text books this week. Within five minutes, I started chewing the corner of Mommy's thick anatonomy book (If I eat it, maybe she won't leave me home alone).

Time to eat.
