Arrival Story:
We adopted her on Oct. 24, 2006. She was sick two weeks later. We took her to the vet two days in a row and got her medicine, stayed up with her for four nights and totally bonded with her. Then when she got just about well, the woman wanted her back. We said she should wait until Roxie got all the way better and then talk again because she is so old. Transition isn't an easy thing for her. Well, the woman took us to court and said some not very nice and untrue things. Bottom line. We just recieved the judgment in the mail. We get to keep her and now shes healthy and very happy. She's a family member now and we treat her like a princess. We all love her.

Bio:
She's an old girl but she can still act young when we tell her it's time to go for a walk. She loves walks. And she loves going with us in the car so she goes with us whenever we can take her. She has this habit of howling. I think she just likes to do it once in a while. She never does it to eat, because she is well fed, or to go outside, because we take her out several times a day. When we first got her she howled at night. Now, if she ever wants to howl during the night, she gets out of bed, runs to the living room, howls, then hops back in bed and goes back to sleep after she comes by and gives me and my husband a lick. It's actually really cute. She has this hoarse little voice so she isn't too loud. We love her. Everyone who meets her loves her, because she is always so happy when we have company, and she loves everyone too. She doesn't howl at night anymore so now she really is the perfect dog.

On Sunday, August 31st, my dad was taking me for a walk. I was on my leash but these people had their door propped open and their pit bull ran out and bit me on the shoulder. Daddy couldn't get me picked up cause I was running around and around him and he finally picked me up.

I had to go to the vet and get shots of antibiotic and take more home and mom has been taking care of my owie. I'm almost all better now and the people who owned the pitbull are going to pay us back the money for the vet.

It turned out okay but I wouldn't come out from under the bed willingly for 4 days until I was feeling better, so everything turned out okay but boy!! that sure scared me and mom and dad. Have a nice day. Roxie
