Likes:
Gunner loves to be loved on and petted more than anything in the world. Next to that, he loves a good roll in the grass. =)~

Pet-Peeves:
"Here kitty, kitty......."

Favorite Toy:
Gunner's not a big toy fan, but he does love a good chew bone.

Favorite Food:
Gunner's favorite food is just about anything that's edible--haven't found anything he doesn't like yet!

Favorite Walk:
Gunner loves to walk anywhere his Doberfeet take him. =)

Best Tricks:
Gunner's best trick is his intense stare--he can pretty much get me to do anything when he gives me "the look"! =)~

Arrival Story:
Gunner captured my heart when I went down to volunteer for the Doberman rescue we adopted him from. At the time, he was very sick with pneumonia, pleurisy, kennel cough and was heart worm positive. He was so gentle and loving, despite his illnesses, and he was also one of his rescue mom's favorite dogs. He readily hopped into the back seat of our car the day we picked him up and slept the entire four hour drive home. He immediately touched our hearts the moment we met him, and continues to burrow his way deeper into our hearts with every moment we spend with him. He's still heart worm positive, but has gone through treatment and hopefully will be negative soon.

Bio:
Nothing is known about Gunner prior to us adopting him. He was picked up by the Doberman rescue from a high-kill shelter the day before he was to be euthanized. His past prior to being dumped at the pound is completely unknown to us. The only thing we've discovered about him (which could be the reason for him being dumped in the pound) is that he's a resource guarder and probably bit someone who tried to take his bone or food. Other than that, he's perfect in every way, and we're so thankful he was rescued from an ill fate. Since being with us, his guarding has subsided dramatically, although he still has his moments.
