Our February STAFU DOTM, Bella Paige is missing. We are all so heartbroken over this. She is a wonderful and supportive pup and her mother Annette is sick with worry, as are we all. This is Bella Paige on my main pic DOGSTER ID #568339. She had just made the Orange County Register's Top 100 in the "My Dog's Face" competition.

Caution to the wind!

So momma's busy baking pies! First she was working on cards, now she's baking pies!

When pops called she was just putting the pie in the oven so she called him back. When they talked momma said she hadn't even eaten dinner yet, but she had fed us and made a pie. So pops did a wooferful thing! He ordered momma a pizza!!! He even ordered her some chicken strips ;-)

She was soooooo happy that she threw caution to the wind and gave us pizza bones AND chicken strips! WHOO HOO!!! Thanks pops!

Ruh roh!

Momma got one of THOSE emails this week. You know... the ones that say the shelter is full and they NEED foster homes for pups. Just for a few weeks mind you. Not too long. Just long enough to keep the pups safe and warm for a few days until the puppy train can take them to new homes...

Not happy, momma's mumbling something about maybe once we are back from Thanksgiving in Chicago... we might just go see about another foster.

HMMMM, maybe we'll just have to make sure that trip is a bit longer than planned ;-)

1. I am a HUGE momma's boy! Really! Can't be without her. Normally just sulk if she's not around.

2. My favorite thing to eat is ice-cream. Momma doesn't let me have anything other than vanilla usually, but daddy has given me banana and strawberry on occasion.

3. I am a rescue pup. Momma found me on petfinder and she fell in love with me right then. I was the only shih tzu in a house full of fostered pugs. Boy did I think I was ugly!

4. When momma's not looking, I eat Chloe's leftovers. ;-) She didn't want them obviously!

5. I am a liver colored pup, yes I know not the greatest name for my coloring but oh well! I have brown eyes and a brown nose and lips. I weigh 16-18 lbs normally although Stacy, my groomer said I felt like 20 lbs a few days ago.

6. One of my favorite pasttimes is napping on the back deck in the sunshine. Momma says I'm tanning ;-)

7. Daddy taught me to walk up and down the stairs when I first got here. I didn't know how before.

Brrrr, too cold to go...

This morning was soooooo cold. My mommy put on our sweaters but we were still too cold. We ran out as though it was any other morning but boy were we surprised. I wanted to stay out and sniff things but mommy told me 10 mins. tops! I came back inside reluctantly but mommy gave us breakfast so it was okay. I don't understand but I guess -2 degrees fahrenheit without windchill is pretty darned cold, especially for humanbeans.

Finally! Some snow!

We finally got some snow here and I had a blast running around in it, snow is my thing! I leap from place to place and run wherever I want, those things mommy calls streets seem to disappear and I can just run anywhere! Mommy likes it to, she walks us in the trees and we get to stop and sniff each one! Today was the first day of snow with my new sister Chloe, she wasn't the best snow day playmate. She kept trying to eat the snow! I think she finally realized the fun was in the leaping! I taught her that! WOOF and GRRRR!

Doggy toothpaste, yum!

Mommy did something really strange, she snuggled with us a bit right before bedtime and then she gave us this new treat! She squeezed this stuff onto her finger, I thought it was peanut butter, but it didn't smell like it... then she let me lick it off her finger. IT TASTED LIKE MY ICE CREAM! I licked it right off her finger. She tried the same thing with my sister Chloe, silly Chloe didn't like it so I licked the toothpaste off mommy's finger. The next night she tried again, this time she squeezed it onto a "childs" toothbrush. I'm not sure what a "childs" is since there aren't any in our pack so... I thought it was great fun to chew on the toothbrush and the best part was, IT TASTED LIKE MY ICE CREAM! Well, she's done it twice in a row so I'm hoping we can train her to do it every night, YUM!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice-cream!

Ice-cream!!!! My daddy-being gave us ice-cream today! I love ice-cream. My silly sister Chloe doesn't like it so I usually (like today) get two!!! I am so happy now! I am sitting on the couch with my mommy-being and sister Chloe. She was really nice and didn't want her ice-cream so she let me have it. I hope the rain stops soon so I can go run around outside! Woofles! ;-)
