Birthday: December 28th 2001 Likes: Eating, playing, sleeping, going for walks...likes them all Pet-Peeves: Being woke up from her sleep Favorite Toy: Any toy that she can find to play with..... Favorite Food: Chicken mince, doggie biscuits, carrots Favorite Walk: Around our streets Best Tricks: Smiling at people who she meets Arrival Story: A friend was going to the R.S.P.C.A to get a puppy. I went also, not to get one as we had 4 other dogs. BUT what happens.. a set of eyes made me melt . We got female puppy and named her Bella. We picked her up the next day.Three days after she became ill...it was Parvo, my friends puppy had the same. Sadly Bella died 5 days after taking her to the vet, my friends puppy lived. Out of a litter of 8 only 3 survived. We rung the pound and they said we could get a refund.....but what does a doggie lover do......we were told there was a litter that was being hand raised as the mother had died 2 days after they were born. We went and saw them, there were 8 puppies, and we picked Daisy..Will my husband did. We picked her up 5 1/2 weeks later. It was such a long wait until she was ours Bio: Daisy's father was handed in also, so we were lucky to know what her two breeds were, he was a Border Collie and her mother a Dalmation. Any body who she meets she SMILES at them..a bit scary as you see these white teeth looking at you, but she is the biggest sook.... Will I think when "friendly" was being give out Daisy was give an over dose...I mean a HUGH over dose....
From the moment we saw her till the day she was called from us, she did not have a mean bone in her body...
She loved just EVERBODY..not once in all her life did she growl or give a "stare" at anybody that meet her....
She was the BEST guard dog you could ask for.....
as soon as anybody walked into the house we would have to grab Daisy......WHY, cause she would not let them walk pass her, I mean she would stand so close to the person for a FULL body pat...head, side, along her back EVERWHERE...and MORE......
BUT.....always a BUT....
People that did not know her became a little frighten...
Picture this....big black dog running, full pace towards you, she will not let you pass.....
AND...
she looks up at you with all her front teeth showing...
YES....
she was smiling.....the full front teeth showing, or sometimes, as we say the "Elvis" smile, when she would only lift one side of her mouth....
We were told this was a thing Dalmations did....will she did it.!!!!!
Daisy was our "first" water dog.....She LOVED water....
Bath time was the best she would just stand there and enjoy..the perfect girl....
BUT...there were times when that was not the way it was....**smile**
My Hubby use to drive me to work....nothing with that but the trip from home to my work, was about 20mins, of that 10 mins was drivig along the water edge, and of cause Daisy was SOOOOOOOO SOOOOO happy to see water she would cry with total excitement.... as we passed the water she would just sit there on the front seat as if there was not a care in the world with her, and just enjoy looking out the window.....
We also have tidal baths near us.....now that was her favourite spot as she could swim and swim, and we had no worry of her swimming tooo far **smile**
But there were times when we could not get her out....she would just keep swimming and swimming....a very funny site....will other people did, while watching us try to get her out of the water.!!!!!!
Now taking her to the beach is another story........
Sweet Daisy Ann, you would of turned 11 years, a few weeks ago....
I have not been able to get a fast connection so I have not been able to do very much on your page and all the others...but promise it WIIL NOT happen again.....
I know you would of had a party at the Bridge.....you did have a sweet tooth...even though you were born with lots of them missing !!!!
The other day Ruby grab your photo and sat with me and was trying to say your name..got as far as saying Da Da....It was beautiful, that she had not forgotten you, even though she is only 18 months old...
Daisy Ann, my beautiful girl, in all the doggies I have had all my life you are the only one that LOVE every person you meet.
There was not a mean bone in your body, you loved and was loved by everbody who came in contact with you......
You even loved every dog you meet.....
Mine you when people came to the door you would stand sooooo close to them......it did not matter even if you did not know them, you would not leave their side till you got enough pats, that you thought they should give you.....
There were far far to many times to count that you would follow people just so you could get MORE pats and "good" girl.
GO AWAY you have had enough pats....Daisy these words your NEVER NEVER learnt !!!!..it was just you....
