Pet-Peeves: Not getting attention. Having my nails trimmed. Can't I just grow them long and get a nice mani & pedi?
Favorite Toy: Whatever my big brother Harvey is playing with. Gimme that bone!
Favorite Food: Nutro Ultra. Peanut Butter nummies. A nice filet mignon. OK. Not really. But I can dream, right?!
Favorite Walk: Mount Dog - the hill in our backyard. And I woof to play with the big dogs at the dog park!
Best Tricks: I can look incredibly adorable on command!
Arrival Story: My Mom & Dad wanted a playmate for my big brother, Harvey. My big sister, Nittany, doesn't get around as easily as she used to. Mom had her heart set on Frenchie after seeing one at the same breeder who raised Harvey. Anyway, Mom found my picture on the internet and fell completely and instantly in love. Can you blame her? You saw my picture, right?! Mom & Dad drove to North Carolina to pick me up when I was 9 weeks old. They've been wrapped around my little paw ever since.
Bio: I'm the new kid in the house. I have a big sister, Nittany (12 1/2 years old) and a big brother, Harvey, who's 3. They taught me all sorts of games to play. Nittany taught me to climb the hill in our back yard. It was hard, but I did it. She also taught me to bark. Harvey taught me to wrestle. That is soooo much fun! He's a tough guy, but he's gentle with me. Now that I'm big, I can give him a run for his money. I may be wee, but I'm mighty!

It is sooooo hot here. I mean hot. Like, melt my nylabones hot. I start panting about 2 minutes after I go outside. And Mom won't let us stay outside for more than 5-10 minutes. I can't even play in my pool because the water gets warm. How much of a bummer is that? I can't wait until it's cooler outside and I can play at the dog park with all of my friends again. The dog days of summer are no fun for a frenchie!
Mom took Harvey to the vet today and when they got home, Harvey said that Mom made an appointment for me to get spayed. WHAT?!? They're gonna take my girl parts?! Doesn't that hurt?! I don't think I like the sound of that. Mom says it's for my own good. Isn't that what all moms say when you have to do something that's not so fun? She says that it will reduce my chances for cancer and it's the responsible thing to do. Like I know what responsibilities are. I'm a puppy! Maybe if I give Dad my cute face he'll say I don't have to do it. Yeah. I'll try that.
I learned a valuable lesson today. Do not eat compost. Mom was working in the garden. Harvey tells me when it's done, it will have these things called flowers that we can pee on and tear up. Mom was mixing compost in the soil and it smelled kinda good, so I had a little nibble. It was pretty good - had a nice bouquet and an earthy finish.
But a few hours later I'm paying the price. I have the worst gas ever! And that's saying something because us Frenchies are known for our talents in that department.
Fortunately, it's organic mushroom compost and doesn't have any manure in it. Can you imagine the stench if it did?! Yikes! I hope I don't get in trouble because Mom doesn't know I ate any. Actually I think she knows now. That last toot smelled a lot like mushrooms...
