We are missing Venus, who simply couldn't overcome the abuse she suffered before we took her in.
To add insult to injury, even though I HATE changes, we have moved to a new community. Lucky for me we are living with people who are CRAZY about me, and I get to help raise my niece!
A family friend asked why we named the puppy 'Is-Is', and her dad said, "Is-Is is gonna be Was-Was if she doesn't quit bugging Snoopy!"
So now we call Isis 'Was-Was' and even Wuzzy for short!

Hi Friends, Buddies & Pals!
I'm sorry that I've been missing you all at the bark park!
My new sister Venus is not doing very well, even if she is friendly and sweet!
It seems that her former owners broke her back and hip, and it didn't heal well. She is always in a LOT of pain.
We tried to bring her to the park a few times so she would be happy, but when we do she is laid up, almost completely crippled, for days. Once she gets better, we try again for a shorter time.
This time though, there were other dogs that didn't like her, or thought she was weak, and ran at her and bit her several times. So, she bit back and Mama was worried, so we left.
We are concerned that, as time goes on, when her pain gets worse and worse, that she won't be manageable.
Sometimes pain management helps her and sometimes it doesn't. Venus' future isn't clear, but what is clear is that she won't be going to the park anymore.
We love her, and we want her to be well and happy. Sometimes the damage people do to pets is just too great, and the tough decisions are left to others.
Venus was a breeder for a criminal puppy mill, with dogs who were bred and trained to fight each other, as far as we know. She was treated very badly, which is obvious and no secret.
We are hoping for a good outcome, but it has been tough going from the beginning.
I look forward to my own visits. I'll try to have enough fun for both Venus and me!

Didn't have enough bully fans to take number one, but we got number 4 out of 110,000 pages, and mama made a great showing to come in the top 5 best pages in the world!
It seems that my fans wanted MY PAGE to be page of the year, but it wasn't even in the running, not until next year (I hope!)
We've moved to other issues, like poisoned Chinese foods...
Our sympathies to everyone who was lost to the poison. Mama said that with all the imported foods, it will happen more and more.
She's been writing letters. Are you?
Woofers!

Mama is in a HOT contest to win Lens of the Year from Squidoo! She's been working hard trying to get support, and her biggest competitor is a person who is in a Starling bird group who saved a bird.
The bird people are really voting that lens up.

I think you'll LOVE that page, ESPECIALLY if you like Mine!

I'm so happy that I started my very own group! It is Squidoo Pets! I have enjoyed having my very own squidoo page, and on it I have the story of ME!!! I also have great links to bulldog sites and information, pictures, and very funny videos. It didn't cost mama a thing to start it. But, since it is monetized, it brings a little income. She can use it for a charity, for dog (or cat) rescues, or just to buy me some more chewies.
Squidoo has been so much fun to do, that I have made some really good friends there and enjoyed every minute.
Take a look at my new group page, and perhaps you'll want to join us too!

There is a great hero for everyone on dogster, a brilliant man named Andrew Vachss. He rescues great dogs, and trains them for a spectacular unmet need: these wonderful, well trained dogs accompany battered or molested children into court so they can face their batterers and testify!
It is hard to imagine what it feels like to be battered or abused by someone incredibly powerful, unless you have gone through it yourself. Then, to be a small scared child, forced to face up to your assailant in a court of law, because the criminal has constitutional rights to face their accuser, is terror added upon terror; intimidation upon intimidation.
Andrew Vachss understands the horrible experience these children have been through, the terrifying situation they must face, and the qualities of great dogs that enable the children to get through without greater trauma.
He also understands what rescue dogs are capable of, if they are only given a chance. What human being is like Andrew Vachss?
You are too, if greatness of soul, compassion and intellect is what it takes to love children and dogs!
Please read about this great hero here: Great American Hero, Andrew Vachss

Venus, my new sister, has been spending a LOT of time in the basement! Mama decided to finally check to see 'what's up' with that, and discovered that Venus was setting up the basement on her own. She collected some of the toys and chewies that mama had gotten her, collected some washcloths and other cloth things near a rug, and so on. Mama said it was a 'woman's nesting thing' and helped her out, set up the old couch so Venus could use it, in a private area so she'd feel protected, and gave her some old cloths and extra things Venus might enjoy. So, Venus has been running upstairs and down, fluffing up her 'apartment' and having a really good time all on her own. I'm a GUY! I don't know ANYTHING about nesting, and I just don't get what all the fun is, and what the fuss is over. Looks boring to me. Hmmfff! Mama said I'll understand someday.

I love the ♥A Dogs Life♥ Group because we can learn from them how many ways we fit into the lives of our humans and make things so much better for everyone.
Who would think that we would fit in so well everyplace that humans do, bring them love, help them with their concerns, and to remain steadfast friends no matter where we are.
If you doggies have interesting lives, a great place to share that is in ♥A Dogs Life♥ group.
One of our members, Teenie, was just chosen as Dog of the Week!!! Couldn't be just coincidence, could it?
Congratulations to Teenie and to ♥A Dogs Life♥
Woofers!!
