Arrival Story:
We had one dog, Bailey, who really needed a brother or sister. We found a rescue dog named Buddy in North Carolina. We fell in love with Buddy the first weekend he was with us! He was a far cry from Bailey! While she is super hyper, Buddy is very calm. We soon learned that our new dog was heartworm positive and seemed to be the victim of abuse and neglect. As soon as he came into our family, he began the rigorous treatment to make him well and free from heartworms. As the months passed, we began to see Buddy's activity level increase, and he actually started to wag his tail (something he never did before). More than one year later, Buddy is happy and healthy and heartworm free forever!

When Mom and Dad wake up, I must get pets and love! I love lovins'! I love it in the early morning when mom and dad scratch my ears! It feels so good! Then I love to run outside, chasing the birds, squirrels, rabbits.... you name it! Those pesky critters run away, and I try to chase them around the block!
I'm not as hyper as my sister, Bailey. I often like to sit in a quiet corner and gaze out the window. My absolute favorite is pushing my head into my mom and dad's legs, just to let them know I'm ready to get my ears and neck scratched again. I'm a good dog... I deserve a massage once and awhile!
