Sorry it's been a while since I've written, but I've been in mourning for my beloved Saints. Mom was really hoping they would go to the Super Bowl, and usually when there's a big bowl of anything, I always get some, so I was pulling for them too. I just know they would've shared with me, them being Saints and all.
Mom says we're still real proud of them, and I got a new sweatshirt out of the deal so we're ready for next year. Bless You Boys!
Now it's time for Mardi Gras, and I went to my first parade the other night. It was in the French Quarter and was old school style with no motorized floats, they are all drawn by mules just like in the olden days of Carnival. I love barking at those almost as much as I love chasing squirrels and pigeons. The Krewe du Vieux was who rode, and they had the most incredible lights and costumes, and I got tons of attention from all the people. I met kids and ate crawfish, and someone even gave me a new toy stuffed animal that giggles and says "I love you" when I bite it, which I've been doing non-stop since! I was supposed to ride with the Mystic Krewe of Barkus this weekend, a Krewe for Doggies that benefits several animal-related charities, but Mom got the flu so bad she couldn't get out of bed. That's O.K., we'll get them next year just like the Saints!
I can't wait for my next parade this weekend, I'll letcha know how it goes!

I got a squeaky toy, and a buncha rawhide moccasins, and I got to eat at the table, well under the table, and I got to chase this big big choo choo train and a christmas tree that sang and danced when they pushed the button in its star, and the kids next door loooooooooooooooove little dogs, especially weenie dogs, and I met my uncle Zeigfried who is a rottweiler and Sebastian who is a miniature schnauzer and very very grumpy. Sebastian doesn't like me at all and hides from me when I come to visit, he does NOT want to play or be friends... period. Bummer... I keep trying to be friends anyway, but I'll tell ya, I think this one is gonna be a toughie.
Santa paws needs to leave him some anti-grinch treats or something, furrrr real!
Hope everyone had a great holiday, too! I love Christmas!!!

Hi, and welcome to my little corner of the web, which has been very exciting for me and engrossing for my mom, who had to do the whole thing for me whilst I wiggled around in her lap and tried to get her arms away from the other lapdog ( it's name is "laptop") and although it's not in her lap very often since that's my spot, she sure does poke it's tummy and pet it's touchpad a whole lot. It makes me very impatient for her undivided attention, and I sometimes even have to wait for a whole 15 minutes before I can work my way back into her lap, which by then has lost the nice warm spot I spent hours perfecting. ::sigh:: I'm still working on that part of her training, but she's coming along quite nicely, I really can't complain, plus now I have this really cool place and friends and tons of neat stuff to learn and play with. I look forward to making more pals, and thanks to all those who already are pals, everyone has been so friendly and sweet!
I'm super psyched because it's my first Christmas, and everything is so sparkly and fun to play with and chew on and climb inside I just don't know what to get into first, but I really enjoy helping out with the giftwrapping. I have to carry things one at a time, but I'm fast, and I make sure everything is in one place when I'm done... under the bed, so mom will be able to keep track of it all. She tries to help and even runs after me but I never let her carry a thing, I swear she's so stubborn sometimes, but I like to spoil her.
Well, it's time to go take my mid-morning nap, chew on my teddy bear for a while, maybe see if there's anything in the laundry basket, I've made it my job to separate the clothes whenever there's a chance. I still can't figure out why it's ok for the dryer to eat a couple of socks every week or so without being so much as told "no, BAD DRYER!" Yet I pick ONE measly pair out, they were really thin ones, too! They were so thin you could see through them! Plus they were wayyyyy toooooo big these things looked like they were made to fit a giraffe....and on top of it all they didn't even have that elastic stuff, so there was some lacy wierd looking tape things at the top, and they were black!, Everyone knows the white thick socks are the best, duh! She should give those back to that Victoria Girl and tell her that I'd keep it a secret too if I had crummy socks like that.
So be safe, have a Merry Christmas, and I hope Santa Paws fills your stocking with exactly what you want!
See ya soon
