I saw her on the breeders website when she was two months old and begged dad for her, but he said no. One...she was too young. Two...we weren't ready for a new dog yet. Well, two months later (actually around December 17th, '06) I came home from school with Joy sitting in her crate in my room waiting to be left out!

Guess what mom just did? She signed up for intermediate AGAIN! It is NOT fun. I mean, working is fun. I can't chase those cars, cats, birds or whatever, BUT, I LIVE for working. Mommy gives me so many fun tricks to learn. So far I do Pound It (paw moms fist), paw, other paw, twist, crawl, house, find it, and touch!. But I'm getting off track. Anyways. I lunge, growl and snap at the other dogs CONSTANTLY when I'm there. Mom and the trainer lady says it's not my fault, because I'm a border collie, and they look like unruly stock. I get into my crouch and everything. The trainer says not to pop me (what ev that means...) and to use a soft hand and a soft voice.
Grrrr...

Mommy has been home from school. I'm soooo happy! I would hate looking out the window crying as she walked down the street to her bus stop to see Aunty Casey. But, now that it's summer, I don't have to cry! Now we're at Yia Yia (grandma, for non-Greek Speakers)and Grandpa's house, with Knox (my boyfriend, that 80 pound malinois) and Eros (that 3 pound chi/terrier X). Yia Yia and Grandpa live in 7 acres of forest, so it's nice to see all the toads, deer, frogs, and butterflies. Yia Yia spoils me too. Unlike my other grandpa and his girlfriend. They just gave me food and played with me. Yia Yia likes to give me vitamins, let's me out all day with Knox, Eros, Ferocious (the cat), but not Splinter. Mommy said Splinter is a delectable ratty treat that is not meant for us, that Splinter is her prized pet that CANNOT be eaten. OH DARN!
Mommy also got me (at least, Grandpa with the small house with no 7 acres did) a pass for the dog park! Yippee! I run until my legs go stiff. Mommy says it concerns her, but hey! What else is a Border Collie supposed to do???!!!!
I'm also happy, because while mommy puts on her bathing suit and tans, I get RUN OF THE HOUSE! That means garbage gets eaten, I tip over cups and drink th einsides, and I get to eat stuffed animals.

to a belgian malinois! Mommy took me to grandma's house and introduced me to that hunk Knox. She said I was acting like a floozy, I wonder why...
