My first day as an Angel

Hello to all my dear friends. Today was my first day as an Angel. Boy was it a busy one. There was Orientation, then measured and fitted for wings and a learning to fly lesson. If any of you saw a new shiny star last night- that was me and I was waving at you all. My furblings took me to the Earth Window Room so I could look down on my furmily. My humum cries a lot. Rhiannon (the new girl puppy who is mum's great-great-grand-daughter pup)is trying to find me all over the house to play with her. She is only 5 months old and can't understand about coming to Rainbow Bridge. She is such a cute little girl and I loved to play with her even if she would pull hunks of my hair out. One of our dear friends and her furmily, Daisy Mae Sunday Times, sent my mum this poem today that her mum had written about the loss of their Yum Yum. Here it is for you to read : A Parting Word

Good-bye dear friends

I am now at the Rainbow Bridge and will shine down on you all every night.I want all of my friends to know that it was a Privledge being on Dogster/Catster, in the many groups and Playing with all of you. I will always love and remember you all. I won't say Good-be but Till We Meet Again. I am going to have my humum tell you what happened. This morning we had to take Sunny for a 2nd surgery at 10:30 am to remove a growth that had grown back in December with vengence from the time it was removed last August. In order to keep it from coming back again, they had to neuter him first and then remove the grapefruit sized growth. During the surgery, he went into Afibrial Defib which means the bottom part of his heart wasn't pumping. The vets worked on Sunman and got it going again. But he was listed as "Critical patient". We had to take the young girl pup for her Rabies shot during the afternoon at 2:30 pm so they let us go back and see Sunny. When I went in first to see him, he was still quite sedated. He looked real bad with his tongue hanging out and colder to the touch. I rubbed his head and ears and talked to him telling him he'd be home with me and the pack real soon. Then my husband went in for his turn and while he was petting Sunny and talking to him, Sunny raised his head high and opened his eyes wide open. Sunny then took his last breath and his heart had stopped. The vets worked on him and tried every thing but he was Gone. I know in my heart he will be at the Poker Hall tonight at the R.B. dealing out a mean hand to all who want to play. Party On, my sweet Sunman.
