My Mommy just wanted to let everyone know that she heard back about the test results for the lump on my tonsil and it's nothing bad! They told her that it was because of some trauma to my throat. They said that I probably jabbed myself in the throat trying to grab a stick or something and that's why there was a growth! Why would they say that? I don't ever try to get sticks! Never! Well...maybe not never...maybe just every once in a while...like maybe when I'm outside...running in the trees...or at the dog park...But...but...I'm not a klutz or anything! I wouldn't poke myself! What? What'd you say, Mom? I do? What do you mean? Well, okay, maybe just once...
Me and my brother, Saku, want to send a bark out and wish all the furkids' daddies a "Happy Father's Day"! I hope your daddies are as awesome as ours is!
Back to recuperating (though I wish my mommy would let me run around more)!
I'm home from a visit to Dr. Ann's and I'm recovering! Mommy took me in so that they could remove a fatty lump growing on my side. I guess they found some lumps in my mouth too which they took off - 4 from my gums and one on my left tonsil. They took my tonsil out and sent it out for tests just to check; my side fatty lump is just a fatty lump so that's all good! I love going to see the girls at the office and Dr. Ann but it seems like every time I go in there they're taking something from me! Last year when I went in I lost my "boys"! I'm scared to go there again - what else are they going to take? What, Mom? They'll give me more cookies? Can we go again tomorrow??? No? But in a couple of weeks? Okay!
Mommy says she's going to try to not worry about the tonsil lump until they tell here there's something to worry about. I'm not worried! And I got my tonsil out so that means I get to eat ice cream, right?
A couple of weeks ago, me and Mommy went back into the Obedience ring after taking a year off. Mommy says she's proud of me even though I didn't pass. I sat the whole time for my sit stay, my bum never left the ground! They didn't say anything about scooting not being allowed though! Now they tell me! So I guess I'm still waiting to get my last leg for my Open title...Mommy says we'll get it next time!
My little brother, Saku, was in for the first time in Open that weekend, too. He didn't pass either - he didn't lay down when Mommy told him to on the "Drop on Recall" exercise. He says he got distracted by all the people and dogs walking by! He figured Mommy wouldn't get mad at him for standing there and wagging his tail - he's kind of goofy that way.
Anyway, I gotta go see if I can get Mommy to give me something to eat 'cause I haven't eaten all day. And then I'm gonna have a nap. And maybe Saku will stop trying to sniff my staples.
It's been a little while since I've written in my diary but today is a special day - it's my birthday! I am a big 7 years old! Mommy bought me lots of special dog biscuits for my birthday!!! The only bad thing was that she made me and my brother Saku wear these silly birthday hats - she really likes them and thinks they're cute. I think they make me look uncool with all the other pups out there but she doesn't understand that! But we got yummy cookies in the end so I guess it was worth it! I was a good big brother and shared them with Saku - he better share with me when it's his birthday!
I'm still doing the Obedience stuff with Mommy. She says we'll be back in the ring soon but I'd rather go get the ducks with Dad 'cause I know it's getting warm and we'll be doing that again! I guess I can do both but it'd be better if they had ducks in the ring too!
