We like the new bed

Boy is our new kingsize bed nice . Me and Bailey sleep right in the middle and wow can I ever stretch out. Bailey always sleeps in a little ball, all curled up, now I like to sprawl out using as much as the space as possible. Last night I even took over dad's pillow, I got to get me one of those. I think they are getting me steps. You see I have to put my paws up and mom has to lift my butt up to get on the bed. Bailey just jumps right up, she is such a show off. But mom said dad has to build me some stairs before I hurt myself. Life is good and then we sleep HEE HEE

I Got Stuck Last Night

My human mom and dad got a new kingsize bed and it is really big we tried it out after they delivered it today. Dad said well I have about the same amount of room as I did in the old bed and mom said me too. I did not understand cause Bailey and I had lots more room. The night before they, well mostly dad moved the old bed into another room and then mom used the noisy water making machine on the carpet in our bedroom. I don't know why but we slept in the room where they moved the bed I did not like that it wasn't our bedroom, we could have all just slept on the floor in our bedroom. I was very nervous about this switch in rooms and I paced and I could not get comfortable I thought I'd take a look under the bed and I crawled on my belly under and I got stuck I wiggled and wiggled and I could not move. Finally mom woke up and she reached in behind me and nudged me out.
Wow that was a long night. Today some men delivered the big bed I hope we sleep in our own bedroom tonight.

My Gotcha Day

My mom and dad came to my foster home 2 years ago on Jan 18th and I knew I wanted them to take me home as soon as I saw them. One look at my human mom and I knew this would be easy she sat down to look at this stupid girl basset and I knew I would have to work fast I jumped up along side of her on the couch and I gave her alittle kiss and layed my head on her lap. Boy was she easy. After that she did not even look at any other fosters there. She started petting me so I rolled over to check out her ability to give belly rubs. She was great so I really turned on the charm. They think they picked me but actually I picked them. It's been two years now and she still gives me the best belly rubs ever. When we got to my forever home I got a big surprise they had a girl basset Bailey she is pretty bossy but we have a good time. We had a celebration for my 2 years in my forever home. we had homemade doggie cookies some looked like ice cream cones my human mom was eyeing them up I thought she was going to eat mine. I am so happy I picked them, don't tell them let them think they picked me.

CHRISTMAS WOW

We got our presents on Christmas eve and it was so much fun ripping the presents open and playing with our new toys that when mom and dad went upstairs I decided to open some more. Guess what I got in trouble again they weren't for me mommy said naughty boy and rubbed my head then she just rewrapped the presents. I did not try to open any more cause I don't know how to put the dvd's in the player anyhow. We had lots of people here presents and paper everywhere wow if we would tear that much paper up and have it all over the floor we would be in trouble but mom doesn't yell at anyone at christmas it was cool. I'm glad it's over I like to play with all the little kids but I get really tired and they just keep running around and then Bailey and I have to chase them all over the house upstairs downstairs sometimes Bailey just hid behind the chair and took a break but I had to keep an eye on them those little people drop food alot and I would hate to miss any of it.

I got in trouble again

Mom came home with a Christmas treat for us and I chewed the noise maker out of it and I guess she likes that noise when she plays with our toys cause I could tell she was not happy but she just said oh well and gave it back to me with out the noisy thingy that I chewed up. Dad was very happy about it He doesn't like the noisy things. It is very cold outside today, I miss laying on the deck in the sun. If I would do that today I would turn into a pupcicle. Well everyone have a Happy Howliday. I hope Santa brings me a 10# prime rib but I'll be happy with a pigs ear.

Just to Catch Up on some of my escapades.

My gotcha date is January 18. Wow I just thought of something I will get ice cream and special treats that day oh boy that is two months away, treats treats, I can't wait. Anyway it will be two years now that I am with my forever family. I have my little sister Bailey she was here when I came. She's my best friend and we play together everyday. She can be a little bossy but I still love her. When I first came here I tried to get loose as much as I could. Mom told me not to do that and she loved me and was afraid that I would get hurt by a car. One day I snuck out under the fence and ran over to the school the kids were out for recess and the bell rang and I went in school with the kids. I stayed there for about 45 minutes. When they finally kicked me out and mom found me she was crying and she hugged me and told me never to do that again. Then dad came home and put bottom rails on the fence, he told me never do that again too. I had a lot of fun at school that day,I also learnt that I really have my forever home. I haven't tried to escape since.
