As my baby gets up there in years (he turned 13 on the 21st of June) He is losing his hearing, and a little slower than he used to be. He has fathered many purebred Golden puppies. His "wife" passed away a few years ago. He is the love of my life. Wonderful in every way. Never has and never will have a mean bone in his body. Unfortunaly, I just found out today that Jake has a cancerous tumor on the inside of his mouth. I dont know how much longer he will be with me. Please keep him in your prayers. I dont know what I will do without him. :(

Closure

Today I picked up Jake's ashes from the vet. The care that was taken in the whole procedure was really special. They were in a beautiful urn with a Certificate of Creamation and a special note from them. We are going to spread some his ashes out at the barn. (His favorite place to be with his dad) He called him his "barn puppy". It was just as difficult picking up that box from the vet as it was the day he had to leave this earth. I know he is in a better place where he is no longer suffering. This gives me closure, but I will never forget my special baby who brought so much joy to my life for 14 years. I love you Jake. One day we will meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.

RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again. Just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they miss someone very special, someone who was left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when suddenly one stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress there beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together........... Author Unknown

My battle is over

Last nite, Feb 15th I had to put my precious baby to sleep. He couldnt breathe or stand very well. The vet could not do anything for him. He wouldnt eat much in the last few weeks of his life, so we fed him anything he wanted. He loved chicken hot dogs, but his body was shutting down and he could not metabolize his food. He is with Jesie, Bo, Meagan and Brandie now. All who lived happy, long lives with me. Now he can run again and play with the tennis ball like he used to a few years ago. He is not in any pain anymore. I Love you Jake and you are forever in my heart.
