 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: September 25th 2006
Likes: Cuddles, toys, food...not always in that order.

Pet-Peeves: Being ignored by us or the other dogs.

Favorite Toy: My shoes. Hopefully soon to be balls, stuffies, tugs or anything but my shoes!

Favorite Food: Raw!

Favorite Walk: Everywhere - he's in the midst of being socialized and so everywhere involves food and toys.

Best Tricks: None yet - but no trick will be celebrated more than housetraining!

Arrival Story: I don't like puppies. I especially don't like puppies after raising the spawn of satan, better known as Sophie. She was the puppy from hell and the main reason we were looking for a young adult dog as our next rescue. We were looking for a dog 12-18 months old who was social and good with other dogs and people.
I love agility and rally obedience so we were looking for a dog who would hopefully enjoy those things too. We weren't searching for a specific breed or size of dog - all our our dogs have found us by some quirk of fate and that's how it happened with Zephyr too.
I met the litter when I dropped off a donation of 80 lbs of puppy food. I was greeted by a rush of puppies and couldn't help but notice Doc. There was just something special about him and I thought he'd make somebody a fantastic dog (but not me because I hate puppies).
Two weeks passed and I couldn't stop thinking about Doc. I checked the rescue's website frequently (obsessively?). After a flurry of emails between me, his foster mom and the rescue, we welcomed Doc into our busy household.
He was a little overwhelmed to go from a quiet farm to the city but has adjusted well. Loud noises still startle him but he's recovering faster each time. He's crate trained, trying hard to be housetrained and has been introduced to the clicker.
His brother and sisters are less than thrilled with his puppy enthusiasm but I think the little beast is growing on them. He certainly is on me.
I still don't like puppies but I adore Zephyr :)

Bio: Zephyr was adopted from That'll Do Border Collie Rescue http://www.bcbordercollies.com/
His mom was a border collie but we're not sure of the dad. The pups look purebred but sable/brindle is an unusual colour for a border collie. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what he grows up to be!

Forums Motto: Puppies are hell!
