Likes: wrestling with dad, being wherever we are, playing with other dogs, sleeping all morning, romping in the snow!! Pet-Peeves: bath time, getting up early in the morning for work, riding in the car Favorite Toy: all stuffed animals that squeak or a kong filled with treats! Favorite Food: Cheese or yogurt mixed in his food, "Frosty Paws" dog treats Favorite Walk: ANYWHERE!! The world is so exciting to him! Best Tricks: shake, sit, down (with hand signals) and herding the cats! Arrival Story: We knew we wanted a rescue dog and when we saw his adorable face on petfinder.com, we were hooked! He was a stray found in Mississippi and then some kind-hearted people transported him to Little Paws Rescue in Hopkinton, M.A. He was VERY nervous around people and hid under anything. Now he must say "hi" and give kisses to anyone he encounters during our walks. He is with us at work and welcomes all visitors with a happy dance (when he's not napping under the counter). Everytime he looks at us with those beautiful eyes (one blue and one brown), we melt! He's the sweetest dog we could ever hope for and he has already wrapped us around his "little" white paw! One never knows what the future holds but what we DO know is that Sneakers will forever have a happy, loving home with us. He may have had a "ruff" start in life, but we will make sure the rest of his life is full of love! Bio: They tell us Sneakers is mostly Border Collie with Whippet mixed in which keeps him "petite". We think there are many types mixed in together to make this wonderful pup! He has an excellent temperment, eager to please, very smart (of course ;-) ) and friendly to all people and animals. Can you tell we think he's perfect???? Update: Sneakers is now lovin life in Arizona! He has met some wonderful friends at the dog parks and enjoys his lounging time in the back yard.
Sneakers will always remember his great girlfriend in NH (Harley) and the fun times romping through the snow. Now it's time to lounge in the sun and be leader of the pack at the dog park! Life is good!
I got to go visit my favorite girl, Harley Shyla, on Saturday!! She's such a cute Golden Retriever and she's so nice to me. I like to give her kisses!!! We played in the snow while Harley's mom watched us and took lots of pictures!! I am lucky to have found such a special friend!!!!!!
Wow--I've never seen so much snow! Mom and dad said it was a blizzard with hurricane force winds. Once it was gone, I couldn't wait to play in all that snow! Who says it's freezing out?? I think it's GREAT! Mom and dad looked funny all bundled up in winter coats. It was very hard to walk in. I had to leap more than run which tired me out! I slept by the fire for the rest of the afternoon. Sweet dreams until the next big snow! New England winters are my favorite! Too bad mom and dad prefer Arizona!
