We have a new game that I love to play with the little four year old boy who lives here.
I get into a "down stay" while he puts treats around the room. It's SOO hard to wait until he's done, but I can juuust make myself do it.
When he has them all ready, he says "FIND IT!" and I get to run around and get all of my treats. It's like an Easter egg hunt for doggies. I love it!!
We play every night before bedtime and then I get to snuggle up at the end of the bed and go night night.
I'd love to play "Find it" with you - want me to teach you??

A really wonderful lady filled out an adoption application for me last week and I was thiiiis close to finally having a forever home.
But... her apartment had restrictions for "dangerous breeds", so she couldn't adopt me. It makes me sad that people are so prejudiced against me when they don't even know me.
I'm just a dog. Four legs, two eyes, one heart.

OK seriously, we just did this last year. Have I mentioned that I have hair that's like, two millimeters long??
Whenever it's cold or rainy outside, my foster mom gets a little faklempt and tells me how glad she is that I'm not living outside on a chain anymore. I am too. I'm all toasty and dry, and I have my big fluffy, silly pink comforter and a bunch of toys.
Every now and then, I just have a happy fit. I flop over on my back and wiggle around like... like... I dunno, something wiggly I guess.
Life is good.
I know my forever family is out there somewhere. Wherever you are, stay warm and dry until I get there, OK?
Love,
Feefer Neefers

So my foster mom knows these people in San Francisco who run a group called Bad Rap (www.badrap.org). She's such a big fan of the organization that she went all the way to California last week to attend their annual conference.
They have classes there called Bully Ed, in which they have maybe 20 or so pit bulls and their people in a class working on obedience. I didn't get to go, but I saw the video and I have to say, I'm really proud of my pibble brothers and sisters -they were AMAZING!! Foster Mom (FM) is going to try to post some video here as soon as she figures that all out. Might be a while... ;)
Anyway, I've been working on obedience stuff with FM and a really great trainer here in Greensboro. FM has this crazy, inspired look in her eyes now that she's come back from Bad Rap. Something tells me that we're going to be stepping up the training!! Canine Good Citizen certification, here we come.
Actually, I kind of like obedience work. It's pretty fun and it makes me feel smart and confident. I have to work extra hard not to try to steal kisses from people who walk by though!

When I went out for walkies this morning, there was this... this... SNOW everywhere! I'm a Looziana dog and we don't get much snow where I'm from.
My foster lady got all wiggly about it though, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I even got to wear a styley new sweater. Check out my pix and try to tell me I'm not a super model!
Ciao baby. Have your people call my people.
X,
Feeney
