Arrival Story:
Kuli arrived from Idaho during a wild rain storm in San Jose. We picked her up and drove South for hours to the Central Coast. Ed put her into his "safe" yard, but she managed to get out past him in the early a.m. Kuli was gone into the wilderness! We posted flyers everywhere: on posts, at stores, at SubSandwich, at the vets' offices, everywhere! It was 3 mos 18 days later that we got a call. She was found. She had come into a yard to a male 1/2 Border Collie. My beloved Kali was one of the 6 pups born. Kuli and I bonded thru the pregnancy months. I whelped her and saved the 5th pup's life as he was stuck in his birth sack and wasn't breathing. Whew, what a scare. All her lovely pups (4 boys 2 girls) got GREAT homes in our nearby coastal area. One brother is a regular running partner with Kali. KULI later had 8 lovely purebred KINGO pups. We adore her and she is happy in her safe, secure surroundings. Kuli had a litter of 7 in June to a recently Japanese import Tenri. Wow, what awesome pups. The females (Maya, Tanka, Sachi) and one male Kojo have been added to WesternSky Shiba Inus breeding group.
