My Mom

Mommy has been very very bad. She has failed to write in my diary for more than a month! Can you belive that???

But ... She has been good in so many other ways that I will forgive her. She has kept my petsplace page in order and it is all decorated and ready for Easter. Mommy is very busy and I know it but sometimes it is hard for me to understand.

Mommy has also taken me to the park every day that she is off. I have gotten to fetch my tennis ball which I love to do. Mommy has also dressed me up for all occaison this year like Valentines and St. Patrick's Day and even for Easter. She bought me a pretty Easter Dress but we are not sure if it will fit. Darn it is so pretty too! She said maybe I can wear it just for a picture or two and then we can return it. You didn't hear that from me!

Then I had friends here and seemed to have lost some. That has made me a little sad. I don't know where they went. I have to do a search and see if I can find them.

I guess I will have to nudge mommy a lot more to remember to come here to write in my diary.

Do you know I nudge mommy when she is on the computer. I wonder if anyone else does that. I just keep nudging and she can't type!

Super Bowl Sunday - Such an exciting day it was!

What a day we had on Sunday …. Mommy took me running 2 miles and I got to play fetch a little. But We got to go to SF with mommy to see the Queen Mary 2 who came in to port. 2700 people on it. They have 1300 mates on ship. I never imagined in my doggy daze that I would ever see such a big boat. Mommy says no Maile Nei it is not a boat it is a ship. Brother went too. We were both good but it was really too crowded and everybody wanted to touch us. Brother doesn’t take too keenly to that and can snarl and get nippy in his old age. I just lick everyone – the more pets on my head the better!
But mommy brought us home because of the large crowd.

We missed part of the Super Bowl but got home by half time and taped the first half. I got it right the Colts won – sorry Keno. Yeah we are right on the money! Mommy got a little upset with one of the commercials – I think it was the Budweiser one where the dog was a no body until he had mud splashed on him and looked like the Bud Dog.

I was so tired that I just pooped out on mommy's bed for the nite!

Seems we are all falling behind

I am so excited. Keno asked me to be his Valentine. Keno is at Rainbow Bridge but visits me often. I see a lot of rainbows and know it is Keno dropping by to say hi to me. My Valentine is so very special to me and my good friend. His best friend is Angel a cat. Angel is cool too and is really cute. We are waiting to see if Angel gets a Valentine. Hopefully he will get his tail in gear and ask a lucky lady soon.

Mommy is really falling behind on this diary stuff. Shame on her. She is busy and I understand. She did spend the weekend with me and my brothers though and that was fun.

Mommy also needs to update my pictures. I just don't understand why these humans can't keep up with our needs! I still love her though!

Anyway mommy says I need to get off the computer cause brother is all excite to see if the lovely lady he asked to be his Valentine accepts. She probably won't even be on line tonight and here he is taking away my puter! Oh well I love him too!

My Valentine

I am so very excited I can't sit still. First I have my very first date. I've been asked to be a Valentine by a collie from Rainbow Bridge. My Valentine is super special to me. I just am beside myself I've never had a Valentine.

Then I just got an email that my diary is going to be diary of the day.

I'm sorry diary but I am so excited I gotta find mom to let me out to go potty!

Having a Great Sunday

Mommy entered this late but better late than never.

I am having a Great Sunday. I am having lots of fun with mommy. She is being extra nice to me because she thinks I might not feel to well with my allergy and stuff.

Mommy and I ran two miles this morning with brother in his stroller. Mommy put on my pretty pink collar and leash and attaches it to the stroller. Boy could I take my brother for a run if I was mean! Mommy says I am a good girl and stay right by her. She is trying to teach me not to go past the front of the stroller.

I saw a lot of ducks and geese at the park/lake where we run. I told mommy that I could catch a few ducks and all she would need to do is add potatoes and wouldn't have to pay $50 for my food. I love my new Duck and Potatoe food! Yummy in my tummy!!!! Mommy said no she would rather pay for the food. I wouldn't hurt the ducks because I like to watch them swim in the cold water.

After we ran I got to play fetch. We all know how much I love that. We had to watch out for the park ranger though because he does not like me off my leash. Mommy has gotten in trouble before for playing fetch with me. Mommy could take me to the dog park to do it but she likes it when there are no other dogs around and I don't have to run in other's poop. She doesn't want me to get other dogs problems too! Sometimes she takes me for agility though.

I also got to practice my agility. Mommy raised the poles to 3 feet! And I did it. Now she is going to get me up to 4 feet and then she says she will get my own equipment and have Joey come back to visit. Joey is my trainer and I love him!!! Wow I can't wait!!

King vs Princess!!!

I hear my little pip squeak brother is talking about who is king and who is princess in this house in his diary. I think I am the Princess in this house and I rule. Despite what my brother says I am still bigger!

Mommy took me to the Dr. this morning. My Dr. is so nice. She sat on the floor with me and let me lick and roll all over her. After examining me she says mommy is treating my ears perfectly. She cleans them 1 x a week with ear cleaner. If they get red or pink she cleans them twice a day and put medicine in.

Dr. says it looks like I have an allergy. She shaved under my neck (hope it grows back by Valentines Day - I think I have a date) and scraped a funny thing on me. She also scraped by my arms where I was licking myself and seemed to have a rash. She said she was checking to make sure it wasn't some type of buggies. No Buggies have I. Yeh!! So Dr. gave me some pills to take (2 kinds) so I won't get an infection where she scraped me. She also gave me some different kind of shampoo.

I was a very good girl and was not scared at all. Mommy stayed with me all the time and I even listened and did not run around crazy - but wanted to.

Now this is where the Princess stuff comes in. Dr. told mommy to switch my food to Natural Balance - Duck and Potato YUMMY! Mommy says it is very expensive. She paid almost $50 for a big bag. Dr. also said for mommy to change my color to nylon. Mommy bought me a pretty Pink color and la matching leash. It is so pretty. Mommy has to put my dog jewelry on it before I can wear it. I'm going to have to try not to get it dirty when I play fetch. Now you tell me who is the Princess here!!!

After the Dr. mommy took me and brother riding in the truck to run errands and then took us to the park. I got to play fetch and we already know what brother was busy doing!

My Crate may get Feet and Walk Away!!!

When mommy was getting ready for work today I got in my crate like I always do. Cause I know the drill and I am a good girl. Mommy said that I could stay in her bedroom with my brother today. See I go in the crate in the living room and my brother get's to lounge in mom's room only. Talk about fair and equal treatment! Well today mommy said I could stay with brother if I was good. Well when mommy came home she looked all around to see what I might have gotten in to or chewed. She was very surprised to find that me and brother only lounged and just messed up her bed. It kind of looked like she had slept in it. But she made it this morning. Mommy says I was a very good girl. I haven't learned how to make the bed yet - but with time maybe I'll learn. Maybe this is just a start and maybe if I am lucky my crate will get legs or wheels and disappear! After all now I have a huge crate!

Mommy is going back to work!

I think mommy is going back to work today. She works in to the night. That means I will be in the dark and have a late dinner. That means she probably won't take me to the park. I keep nudging and asking her to - but she is not paying any attention. She seems like she is rushing. That means No fetching my tennis ball, no 2 mile run with her and brother in his stroller and worse of all - A LATE Dinner. Oh my gosh I wonder when she will be home again. I think she is off on Fridays and the weekend. I will have to go in my crate again. I haven't been in it in 4 whole days! I will have to wait three whole days for mom to take me somewhere again. Maybe she will decide to get sick (don't tell but she does that sometimes). Guess I will be catching up on that sleep again.

My Two Mile Run around the Lake

Mom took me for a truck ride today. I thought I was going to play fetch. Was I sadly mistaken. Mom made me run with her for 2 miles around the lake. I can't believe she did that to me. This was a first for me and mom says it won't be my last. She must be crazy.

She took my brother too but he got to go in the doggie stroller. What a brat he is. Mommy says it is because he stops to pee too much and we would never get anywhere. Mommy says it is because he is old too and he can't do the two miles around the lake.

I had to heel the whole time. Mommy said I was a very good heeler and didn't even stop to smell the other dogs I passed. I passed many including other labbies. Mom did play fetch with me - but not until after the run/walk.

It is like the artic zone here. It is cold and it was cold around this lake too. It did get warmer as we got running. I didn't think I could run that far.

Mom seems to be on this fitness thing. Not sure why she has to include me. She must be able to see that I am already fit and trim already.

The Park

Oh my I am wondering what all that noise is outside. It is very windy and mommy says it is cold. I am hoping I get to go to the park. Today mom does not work so she is taking her sweet time about getting me there. She always takes me on her day off. She also takes me on her work days but those park trips are way too short. Right now She keeps typing and typing and typing. I wish she would stop. Seems she has a lot of catch up to do on keeping me in touch with my friends. Hmmm I wonder if they care. I bet they would care more if I got to the park. Then she has to keep in touch with my brothers friends. We know they don't care if I get to the park. She should just focus on me because for some reason I seem to think the whole world evolves around Maile Nei. Mom says I should not think that way - but I can't help it! Maybe if I go take a nap and be good and stop begging and nudging her - she will get with the Friday program and get me to the park!
