Arrival Story:
I told a friend who lives in Portland how much I like the Shiba breed, but that I don't really like the idea of buying a dog when there are so many in shelters. He mentioned his neighbor had a Shiba and said if they ever wanted to get rid of the dog he'd let me know. I laughed at this and forgot about it. Two months later I got a phone call at 11:00 p.m. It was my friend from Portland. The family with the Shiba said they were taking the dog to the shelter as they couldn't handle having her anymore. I went to Portland the next day, fell in love with Ginger and the rest is history.
