Arrival Story:
We got Bubba when he was 1 years old because his previous owner was moving to a smaller apartment, and she didn't think he'd be happy there. He had never socialized with other dogs before coming to live with us, so THAT was an experience ~ getting him to play with other dogs without snapping at them. He still plays kind of rough because his previous owner's friends used to wrestle with him, and we think he had a bad experience with little kids when he was a puppy because he doesn't trust children at all. He adjusted to our family very well and rather quickly.

Bio:
Bubba was the largest puppy of the litter, so we knew he'd grow up to be too tall to become a show dog. Even though he was a huge puppy, he was the first of the litter to be sold to a nice lady. We didn't get him back until a year later (see arrival story above). He's really sweet once he gets to know you, but he can be very protective (he's VERY MUCH a girl's dog ~ doesn't like men at all). He's calmed down a bit now that he's older but still has some puppy in him! Xena is Bubba's mama, and Ditey is his aunt.
