Thank you to everyone who made May a really good month for Lucy's Dog House. As a direct result I was able to send a modest donation to www.desertdane.com.

For the month of June we have shifted our sponsorship to BHRR, Birch Haven Rescue and Rehab
Birch Haven Rescue and Rehabilitation is a wonderful rescue. As with most dog rescues, they operate at a loss with a large portion of the operating expenses coming out of the pocket of the rescue owner’s. Birch Haven’s owners came out of pocket for over 20,000 dollars last year. The costs are high because they take in a lot of injured animals, get them healthy and then find new homes for them.

So I am trying to help out with a percentage of sales from my store.

The rescue gets 5% of gross sales normally.

Individuals can help out too. If you use the coupon code: rescue, when you checkout an additional 10 percent of the purchase price goes directly to the rescue for that month. Plus you still get 5% off of your purchase. So spread the word and let's help out one of our own and still get something great for your dog.
