I'm almost a year old, and Mommy's been so bad about updating my dogster. I am so much cuter now. She posts my pictures all over her own page, but has been slacking on mine. What are my friend's gonna think? I'm so much bigger and cooler now. I will definitely be updating soon. Thanks everyone for checking out my page. I wuff you!
Much has happened since I last posted. Last month, I got really sick. After I left the groomer's at Petsmart, I was very quiet and I peed in the parking lot (which I never do because I always go in the grass). Mommy had me in her lap the whole way home, and I couldn't move at all. When we got home, Mommy tried to walk me, but I peed on the concrete again. I cried, and mommy knew that I felt bad about doing it, but I couldn't help it. Right after that, I threw up. Mommy was really upset and called Petsmart to find out what happened, but they couldn't tell her anything, but to wait til the next day to see if I got better. An hour later, I coughed up blood and started heaving. I couldn't breathe! Mommy called the vet and rushed me to the vet's office in Dripping Springs. Dr. Pruitt looked at me and then gave me some x-rays. He said there was fluid in my lungs due to an allergic reaction to something...probably at the groomer's. The last time I got groomed there, I got a bad cough. We thought it was just because they had expressed my anal glands, and I had an infection from that. Daddy thinks I was allergic to this deodorant spray that they used on dogs there. So we wont be going there again. I ended up with 2 shots of cortisol and an antihistamine. My mommy took me back to the vet the next day to get screened. They said I had a low white blood cell count, so I had to take antibiotics every day. I'm all better now, but mommy and daddy were very scared for me.
Now for the good news. About two weeks ago, I went with my cousin McCoy, Mommy and Daddy to the Mighty Texas Dog Walk. We helped to break the Guinness World Record for the largest dog walk. Mom and dad were so proud...McCoy and I walked a whole 3 miles without any problems. We were so excited to see so many other dogs out there. It was lots of fun. The people there gave us lots of treats and dog food samples too...mmm...it'll take me a long while to devour all of it though.
I just graduated from Puppy class a few weeks ago, and I've learned so much. Without the routine though, I'm starting to be a bit unruly....mommy and daddy are gonna have to start getting me back into shape....hee hee. Check out my awesome graduation pics above.
